After you mentioned value for money Re-Özil, I've looked at our director of football track record.
The good news is that he's the one who brought Neymar to Barca.
The bad news is that he's the one who brought Song to Barca

Oh yeah, he bought a few duds off us while he was there too.

That’s why I was a bit wary of those links to Malcom in January

Yep and god forbid if it's the one who drove Sven out of the club

Coman coming back to his best after injury and Dembele now performing well for Barca. French forward future looks bright

Unfortunately Bayerns defense ahead of Liverpool is a concern

Don't care about Bayern. I want France to win Euro 2020. With a fit Coman, Dembele and Mbappe, we have a chance

Apparently Vinai Venktasharam (sp?), Sanllehi and Fahmy were all in Belarus and were fuming with the performance, tactics and result.

Sanllehi apparently left just before the final whistle because he was that annoyed.

I know we’re all in favour of giving Emery more time to prove himself, but he may not get that time if these drab performances and poor results continue.

I’m not exaggerating when I say that result against BATE was one of the worst in the club’s entire history. The performance wasn’t much better.

At least if things continue to be $hit he won't be here for very long. That's where we went wrong with Wenger.

Yeah that’s the one positive about this. Is that if it doesn’t work out, we will get rid fairly quickly.

However, I don’t know what effects that will have in the long-run. How depleted will our squad be? How far off the top 4 will we be? How far off Europe’s elite will we be?

I don’t expect us to be challenging for the title for at least 7 or 8 years minimum, but I am begging the club to prove me wrong on that.

We're a bit like Liverpool were in the King Ken banter times. It will take years of good management on and off the pitch to fix, just have to be (very) patient now. Maybe we'll fluke a title challenge like they did under Rodgers to make it more interesting.

Lets not over react over half a result. Emery's job requirements haven't changed. So he has to fix it or he'll be gone.

It isn't about one result though, it's the run of poor performances that are more worrying.

It is one result. Our performances haven't been good from the start of the season. But we have learnt to win tough. Something we weren't doing last season. People go on about how we slaughtered Bate last season but ignore that it was Walcott who did the slaughtering and Wenger refused to play him in the premier league. The present squad is unbalanced and poor. The manager is not going to work miracles but he is getting the results in the main.

If we played to our strengths we would have battered them

It's an embarrassing result whichever way you look at it and with the quality of players we put out vs a team in preseason can only be attributed to tactics

Tbf it's one result that's as bad as any in recent years, only consolation is it's a 2 legged tie.
