Wasn't sure if it was injury or fatigue, baring in mind he played the full game in midweek. He's 35 too, so his body won't be as quick to recover as it used too.
IAWT, I agree with you, which is why I said it's a shame the other teams around us seem to be performing at a similar level or better.
But again, I bring it back to the expectations at the beginning of the season. I didn't think we'd be anywhere close to 4th at this point, despite our woes. The fact we are in 4th place and are still in with a shout is something positive.
I still don't think we will get it, but for now, I'm just glad we're in the mix.
Do you mean Licht didn't make a mistake? No one attacked him either. The problem with Licht is that he now defends like an old man. Just like Bould used to. Give two yards and back peddle. Thats the worst kind of defending because you allow the attacker to build up pace and then you are too late with a challenge or the attacker beats you with a shot or cross.

The point tally is a good stats. However, it can't taken in isolation. Need to see how the other around us are doing (how many was 2nd, 3rd, etc... had last season).
If we are the only one to have made progress, then that it fantastic. However, if we are not, it could be just a mini wave which dragged everyone along.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Look at the top 7 squads and where we are sitting (4th). It should tell you everything.
Orbinho:
Anthony Taylor will referee the north London derby. He officiated last season's 0-1 defeat at Wembley.
=============
Just seen that Bournemouth will be without Cook, Brooks and Wilson for their visit to The Emirates
Seen that Stanislas may be back, though. Stanislas and King are very fast players with good dribbling ability so Kolasinac and AMN/Licht will have to be on their A game in midweek.
A lot of people seem to be looking ahead to the Spurs game but we can’t afford to be overlooking Bournemouth.
Diaby officially retires from football. What could have been
I'd have expected slightly more reasons at the Diaby's news.
Pretty sure most people assumed he had retired a few years ago, tbh.
I could have played for Arsenal if only I could kick a ball in the direction I wanted to.
If I'd not had awful knees I would be a top CB - what could have been.
Not happy with Nagelsmann give enough playing time to Reiss Nelson recently.
Again played only 10 min.

Yeah but you could have never kicked John Terry the same way he did.
If Rodgers does well at Leicester in the remainder of this season and next season, does he become a realistic option if we think about replacing Emery?
Depends what you mean by doing well, if it's simply getting them Europa football then nope. Even Dyche was close to getting that at Burnley and no-one would've wanted him.

Wish he hadn't because we were leading at the time with Walcotts goal and ended up presenting Mourinho with his first success.

Very different style of manager though. Rodgers is far closer to the "Arsenal way" than Dyche. Rodgers also has top club experience, and CL experience as a manager, and won a lot - albeit in Scotland.

Thats good for him. No chance of him coming to us though.
I still wouldn't have him unless he broke the top 6 dominance or won trophies there. He largely failed at Liverpool imo, one good season in 3 and that was largely down to Suarez.

He considered it very seriously. Managers sometimes prefer job security and time to do their job than oil money or itchy Spanish 'el presidente' elections.

I don't think we are going to sack Emery. We may not take up the option for his final year. We are in the process of employing a technical director whose part attraction is having worked with Emery suggests sacking Emery is far from Sanllehi's mind.

Unless Allegri is going to hang on for a year without a job I don't see why him leaving Juve this summer will lead to him joining Arsenal.
