Well in that case we will give Emery ample time and maybe get Allegri after he moves from his next job!
We'll get him after he leaves Chelsea...
My point was more on the standard of manager we should be attracting tbh. Whatever you may think of Emery's style he was a winner and had won trophies before he joined us.
Give me either Jardim or Favre please.

Oh... and these two are realistic btw. I think Allegri will have plenty of clubs fighting for him once he decide to leave Juve.
Its actually interesting how long Rodgers was out a job before moving to Celtic. It says something when mid-table clubs like Leicester City weren't interested in him before. When directors are taking a risk on Marco Silva before approaching Rodgers says a lot.
Rodgers leaving Celtic is worth it just to see Chris Sutton having a meltdown.
His last season at Liverpool was dreadful, awful signings too. Including:
Lambert,
Balotelli
Markovic
Moreno
Lovren
Origi
Amazing.

It was more his choice, though. He saw himself above the sort of jobs that were coming up mid-season.

He was out of work Oct to abt May the next year? So if any clubs were interested for the summer they would have approached him before he took the Celtic job. He is leaving Celtic for Leicester city after dominating in Scotland. So his standard is mid-table but without the spending / ambition of an Everton type club. Its highly likely Marco Silva will be replaced in the summer but even they did not consider him. Southampton/Swansea type level tbh, sort of Eddie Howe but without the mystery of how he would perform at a big club having already blown it at Liverpool. Not sure why any top 6 club would ever be interested tbh.

Well, yeah. Until the end of the season. He had agreed to the Celtic job long before then though.
Nothing suggests Marco Silva will be replaced in the summer. They fought very hard to get him, they will give him more than a season.

Well that would be based on doing well with Leicester
The Liverpool job was too early for him, since then he has won countless trophies.
How do you define success at Leicester? I doubt he could emulate Renieri. My pet hamster could win countless trophies in Scotland with Celtic without Rangers as a force. His achievements in Europe were well below par compared to Lennon.
I don't think you can apply the excuse of a managerial job coming too early unless its a player jumping to management without experience. Arteta being considered for Arsenal for example was too early. I don't think Rodgers is in that class. Even Sarri is unable to control Chelsea compared to his success at Napoli where the expectation was lower. Arsenal will need someone at Klopp's level who understands the scrutiny he would be under and still achieves success. My hope is that will be Emery. But there are plenty of fish in the sea at the top table if he isn't.

What result do we want from Chelsea vs Spurs today?
Assuming we beat Bournemouth, these are the scenarios:
Spurs win = they get a tighter grip on 3rd, but gives us a chance to go 6 points clear of Chelsea (albeit they'll have a game in hand) and maintain 4th spot.
Chelsea win = Chelsea will be 3 points behind us (with a game in hand), also means we'd be 4 points behind Tottenham heading into the NLD. Spurs could easily get dragged back into the top 4 battle, rather than consolidating 3rd as expected.
Draw = 5 points ahead of Chelsea and 5 points behind Spurs.
What result do we want from Chelsea vs Spurs today?

Draw. But its one of those times that all outcomes work for us as long as we continue to beat who we are supposed to and not lose against Spurs and Man Utd.
Spurs to lose. The answer is always Spurs to lose.
United seems to have been hit by injury ( I wonder of Ole changed the training method)
Chelsea rely a lot on Hazard and I think his head is already in Madrid, at least for the league games.
I might still put a shift for the cup games like he did last weekend.

I'm not going to judge him as I clearly don't watch the Scottish league. VVD also came from the same league so it is obvious you can find some talents there.
Just concern about the price tag though.

Slightly relieved that Pool won't win the league. They can't do it without a Frenchman. That is impossible.
And yes, I'm bored at work.
A draw in that game will do. If Chelsea lose it's more likely Sarri gets sacked and I don't want them getting a new manager buzz.
