Am i right in thinking Ozil, Mustafi, Xhaka, Kolas will be fasting today?

those 2 ajax players doing that last night were dead on 70 mins

Don't think any of them are practising Muslads. Also they are travelling so even if they were they are exempt.

I’m still as p/ssed off about those mugs from down the road reaching the CL final as I was last night.

Dark, dark days are coming methinks.

And the thing that annoys me more than anything is I don’t think there is anyone with significant power at the club who truly understand how devastatingly soul crushing it would be if Spurs do the unthinkable.

There will be no reality check, there will be no call to arms, it will just be a tepid, mundane Summer where we do nothing and end up falling into midtable while Spurs reach the dizzy heights we could never do.

Arsene Wenger convinced us all that money was essential to compete for the top prizes, and whilst there is a valid argument to say that he's right, Ajax, Liverpool (net spend) and Spurs this season, Dortmund and Atletico Madrid in previous seasons gone by, have shown that resource deployment is more important than resource availability. This was always Wenger's 'get out of jail' card.

In the 20 years Wenger was Arsenal manager, we reached the Champions League final once. This is even with some of the greatest squads and players we'd ever assembled in our history.

This is Pochettino's 3rd year in the Champions League with Spurs, and he's already reached the final, with no money spent in 18 months, injuries all season and without their talisman. This is when other clubs have more money in football than there has ever been when Wenger was in charge.

Wenger got it wrong. It enabled a loser's mentality to proliferate throughout the club to the point where players and staff were convinced it was ok to not succeed because other clubs had more money.

Utterly shameful stuff.

Was mulling this over last night.

Spurs winning the CL could finally raise the Goober fanbase out of its slumber, and finally force Kroenke either into action, or out of the club.

Then I went to sleep.

Then I woke up.

Then I realised even that wouldn't bring any change...

End of the day CL is a cup comp, Spurs aren't much better than us as their league form suggests, they've just lucked out in the CL. They've been literally a minute away from going out in the last 2 rounds, they also nearly went out in the group stage. It's a bit like the Chelsea season, they're quite average.
It's typical that these caants would luck out, but I don't think it tells us much about where they are as a club. But still it will hurt like nothing else if/when they do win it.

Lucas is right. This isn't a power shift. Spurs have been extremely lucky over two ties.

This

Completely agree. Their league form suggest that they haven't really improve from last season. If anything, the are on their way down. The CL run is just full of lucky moments.
Still, I want them to get turn over by Liverpool. Badly...

Yeah I get all that, and agree.

However it was bad enough Chelsea winning the thing before us. Imagine how it'll be there being TWO other London European Champions before us

We'll only be left with West Ham, Charlton and Leyton Orient...

As for tonight, hope agent Coquelin look after us.

I wouldn't mind an own goal from him

Can't argue either with that assessment to be honest

They scored in the 96. min. Extra time was only 90+5

The sort of luck spurs are getting tells me they're gonna win it. Same with Liverpool in the league. They've had a couple of lucky breaks from opposition goalkeepers and with last minute winners. Still think they'll win it this weekend.

Luck has to run out at some point. Obviously I could be wrong but I doubt City will drop points vs Brighton.
let's face it, we shouldn't have dropped points vs them.

As for Spurs, Liverpool missing on the league will ensure they don't fail twice this season.

Spurs had 1 point after 3 games in the group stage and still made it through they're winning it

Spurs gonna do an Arsenal.

Get to the CL a season before moving into the stadium for a full season.

Bottle the Final after going one up.

Spend the next decade selling their best players to pay for the stadium.
