“Some millennials have unrealistic expectations of inheritance and how it may unlock the door to buying a first home, a survey suggests.
One in seven young adults expect to inherit money before they are 35, although in reality the typical inheritance age is between 55 and 64.”
What the hell, this can’t be real I refuse to believe millennials are this stupid.
This seems more like a survey done of those who are extremely middle-class and have no perspective of the world.

Maybe inherit is not the right word. Maybe they just expect to be given money to help buying their first house.
Aye. Inheritance and the bank of mum and dad are two different things
Even then, there shouldn’t be an ‘expectation’ on your parents to give you some money for a house, even if it’s just a deposit, especially with how extortionate house prices are nowadays.
If your parents do give you money, then they are doing that out of the goodness of their heart/love for you, not because they are obliged to.
I'm a peasant tenant but everyone my age I know on the property market were basically gifted the deposit and then picked up mortgage repayments themselves.
Nice for them but it's not realistic to expect most under 40s to be able to afford to get on the ladder any other way anymore

This makes sense to you and me but not to millennials.
Samir is a mid twenties right? IAWT mid 30s?
YOURE BOTH FACKING MILLENIALS
In Europe (France, Belgium, Netherlands, etc..), you don't leave your parents house as early as you doin the UK. Basically, I have so many friends whom stay with their parents and lived for "free" while saving for deposit.
