My only hope is that he keeps postoning naming the 5 captain which might because he is not convince himself.

Yeah but then its upto Emery to drop him. Players can at most blame Emery for not taking difficult decisions. But this is one of their own calling them out as if he isn't to fault or is above the rest. Last time we had that behaviour was Alexis.
