Great that we’ve got this set-piece specialist in though...
Liverpool haven't lost at home for 3 and a half years in the league, so losing there is no disgrace.
I wasn't particularly happy with the first half performance, though I do think Liverpool were just really, really good and their pressing is insane, which, sadly, we don't have the personnel or quality to counterpress with.
Second half was much better, and we looked more organised. Although Liverpool probably could have killed the game off before they ended up doing so.
What bothers me is the lack of chances. We only looked like creating anything once Ceballos came on, we were hopeless before that.
Overall, isolated incidents aside, Liverpool were comfortably the better team. It happens.
It's a big week coming up. If we don't bring in any new players, then we've massively facked it.
Been saying it for a while but Laca and Auba in the same team doesn't work
I would rather stick Willian on the left, Auba central and Pepe on the right
Leno looked shaky too (cue J99)
Auba central please. Clinical which Laca never has been.
Auba is a genuine wide player. Doesn't have the link up game of Mane and Salah. He needs to stay central
I’d like Arteta to try Pepe on the left. Guy is that one footed...
Would also mean we could move Auba central.
Could be a win-win.
Pepe definitely needs to start on Thursday night.
Also needs to start performing!
I have been saying for ages that we need to sell Lacazette while he has some value. If somehow we can eat some of wages and persuade him to go back to Lyon we could make some headway for Aouar. Would enable us to get Aouar, Partey and Raya! Maybe even Zaha!

Need Arsenal to have a 'madness'
Obviously glad Laca is chipping in with goals, but I‘age never felt like he’s a 2-3 goal a game striker. Which goes without saying we should have up front.
Laca is a budget Andy Cole, said this from day 1.
I don't think club have ever been sold on Laca either. Or why spend £55m on Auba so soon after spending £48m on Lacazette? Its amazing why its taken this long to comprehend that 2 into 1 does not go.

He’s okay. Should be our Wiltord rather than our Anelka though. Obviously.

Think we signed Auba because he became available and we jumped at it
If he was available that summer would wouldnt have bought Laca (and maybe had a better season as a result)
Talksport this morning saying definite red for Mane

Also, I know Luiz's clearance for the 3rd goal wasn't great, but Leno really needs to take charge and deal with that better. Luiz told him as much after Jota scored.
His lack of presence in the penalty area is still a huge issue.
We need to stop shoehorning Laca and Auba in the same team. Auba's been fairly anonymous for the opening 3 games, even despite his goal against Fulham. It imbalances us and Auba is a more lethal player as a central striker than Laca is. Auba doesn't seem happy understandably because he's barely getting a touch.
But yeah, Laca should be sold. 51 goals in 130 games for a player we paid £47m in 2017 is very average. He's never hit 20 goals for us in a single season yet.
