We are a top team with a mid-table manager.

just always love how positive GT is before games. always predicting a win and how anyone who doesn't is negative and hates the club

yet 26 mins into the match thread he will be suicidal

"WTF AUBA. This is awful. We cant cross. this is woeful..." etc
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah in that regard we are different. You are always negative about the club.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spot on tbh. Worst fan in this forum πŸ€”

Player A tries to make things happen, asks for the ball, and is positive with the ball, but due to a number of factors loses possession a lot.

Player B sits, back, finds the easy negative sideways/backpasses, doesn't contribute a lot but doesn't have a poor overall game (because essentially he does nothing)

GT, who in your opinion is the better player?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The one he is successul at the end of the game.

I know where you want me to drag. I give you the answer despite. I would prefer player A. For example Pepe tries a lot. Running at defenders and dribble around them. Sometimes good, sometimes bad.

Player B in your example is surely Xhaka. He isnt like that.

Am I the only one who sadly feels we'll be getting knocked out tomorrow night? Everyone else is expecting us to progress. I really don't hold much hope at all.

In addition to what I said Pete.

I am not optimistic about tomorrow's game. We will make a meal out of it.

I can't bring myself to tip a defeat for Arsenal FC. The hope that kills you. Believe.

Anyway, tomorrow's game isn't about Auba, Xhaka, Partey, or any individual player. Man for man we have enough quality to wipe the floor with Sparta.

The real question is whether Arteta has the bottle to take the game to Prague tomorrow. I don't think I'm exaggerating in saying that Thursdays game is his biggest game of his managerial career, so far.

On Arsenal, who have to go past Slavia Prague to stop their season being a failure. They haven't had a season without a top eight finish and/or a semi-final since 1975-76:

Yup.....

We cant afford to have player in the team that perform on the level required. We need anyone to be switch on from the first minute.

Dont want a pen shootout. I can't watch that.

Yes but it isn't about the players, GT. If Arteta sets out his team with the mentality to be cautious not to concede am early goal, I'd guarantee you we will lose, and fairly comfortably.

Time for Arteta to shed the loser mentality.

Honestly I thought he was moving.

It is both Seebs. The best set up of course but players need to keep their nerves together and perform.

We will play like shiiit again, then start attacking when it's too late and Slavia will see the game out to progress.

honestly dont care. if we as good as he thinks he is wouldnt he be at least on the bench instead of Eddie fooking Nketiah?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We dont know what is going on behind the scenes, Pete. Maybe they promising some starts when we sort out the team in the summer or maybe he is going out on loan?

Who knows. The guy is 19 years old and I am happy that he has decided to stay.
