That 250k will be eaten up by the 2nd bakery she opens. She'll need constant reinvestment to continue expanding.

Things like VAT, Corp Tax, Rent, Rates and Wages will end up killing her.

Took me a while to warm to Carina, but she was a deserved winner.

I am kind of surprised Carina has won. She is a good candidate and her idea is different but still, right to the final talk showed some points of naivety with scaling up her business imo. I guess it needs Sugar and his team to put in less work but also it’s not gunna be big business for anyone, it’ll be 2-3 shops max in her local area. I know we say it every year but I’m still convinced Sugar has a heavy bias towards anyone from London who sounds like they’re from London and presents an image of themselves as organic/salt of the earth businessperson.

Scarlett was probably a better candidate (in the ‘you’re hired’ talk show Karen, Claude and Sugar all waxed lyrical over her) and perhaps unlucky her business plan is similar to two previous winners.

its probably more to do with her business plan not making any sense. why would a client use her when they could just use a company that pushes forward both men and women, and therefore have access to a wider talent pool? even if enough companies decide they do want a female senior leader, then how would you scale the business, given that there is a shortage of woman in those industries, and developing the next generation to come through in greater numbers would be such a long process that the business would have probably folded long before the new wave are even qualified as engineers etc that the whole thing would be pointless.

I thought he saw it as recruitment being the boring choice whereas this poncy little bakery is a challenge. One I don't think that will actually work out. You need a lot of money to keep expanding in the food industry.

Just been working mate. Dont even have time to watch football much anymore.

5 years back, I would have been all over any threads involving Tottenham and Chelsea. Those were the best years on ja606. Kind of like how the Attitude era was the best era in WWF. Nowadays it's far too sanitised on here.

Sugar used to proper rip candidates back in the day. He's gone too soft now. Cant really change it as the show is about him so anyone else would be a letdown.
