There's something uniquely pleasing that the only people who don't find Off the Ball funny is a group of Old Firm fans who take themselves and their club way too seriously. It must make their job so much easier, and so much more satisfying.

get it right up them, and both those clubs too

delighted they went out, esp motherwell

hope England humiliate scotland on wed aswel

St Johnstone only have themselves to blame, missed a good few chances over 120mins and you don't deserve to win a shoot out if you miss 5 of your 5

Dissapointed for them.

I find some of Off The Ball pretty funny. But I really dislike Cosgrove, I don't think he is just having a laugh at Rangers, I think he genuinely hates us. Which is a bit sad for someone who is a smart guy.

Seems pretty unanimous. Nothing wrong with not finding it funny when it's at your expense right enough.

I don't really get the levels of irritation they cause here though, it's not meant to be a serious show.

its prob because they are pair of bitter kents away from their show

Tell something really funny that cosgrove has said!

Or just a wee bit funny?

I like Tam Cowan - I think he is a funny guy, albeit a bit up himself at times. He's had a laugh at Rangers which we have to expect from anyone who is expected to be satirical, but he has a go at everyone, so fair enough.

I wanted both Motherwell and St Johnstone to do well and I'm sorry they're out. Celtic, however are another matter - no matter how well intentioned I may want to be, they're or fiercest rivals and I always want them to lose. That aside, Scottish teams always have my support.

I think a lot of Rangers fans need to start putting things behind them and move on. That includes this ridiculous thing about wanting Scotland to lose. If you can't support your country, at least have the class not to wish them ill!

The reason I really dislike Cosgrove is his attitude to bloggers around the time of us going into admin. He was very vocal in how important this new media was - Rangers Tax Case blog etc, and helped reinforce the view that these blogs should be taken seriously, when in fact they were mostly a load of old tosh which contributed greatly to the pervading sentiment in Scotland that we were "cheats". This in turn helped turn people against us at the specific time when they had the power to really boot us when we were down. Cosgrove was well into this "fan power" when it actually was just a mob, baying for blood over something they didnt actually know was true, but were led to believe it was true by people like Cosgrove giving bitter whanks writing blogs in their bedroom credence.

"Barca you probably think only an excuse is hilarious"

Hardly. Lame is the kindest thing I could say about it. It's garbage, but not because it slags my team off and I don't like the cast. It's just garbage.

"its prob because they are pair of bitter kents away from their show"

What makes you think Cosgrove's bitter? He sounds to me like someone who hasn't got a care in the world.

Don't mistake having a particular antipathy for Rangers for being unhappy or bitter. It's actually quite common. It's like how you feel about Celtic. They don't make you stressed and unhappy do they?

"see if it was banter, satire all the time, then fair enough"

That's exactly how I'd describe it. It takes the p___ out of everybody in Scottish football. Would I be right in thinking you only remember the bits about Rangers and they're unfair to them, they cross the line etc etc?

THAT is a reason not to like someone, or their radio programme.

The rest of you need to grow a pair though.

And that's incompatible with not liking a particular football club?

Neep.
