To me Messi is just as good if not better at free kicks than Ronaldo.

Messi is better at taking free kicks than Ronaldo. Well, he's more effective at it IMO.

Most people are better at free kicks than Ronaldo.

Messi's free kicks are quality though.

It's been a while since the average Ronaldo free kick wasn't blasted into the wall, yet he still has that reputation for being quite good at them, something that Messi hasn't really had the same.

there are so many myths transported by the media about world class players like Messi and Ronaldo. Once the media gave you one attribution you'll never lose it.

He was very good at them at one point though in his latter Man United, early Madrid days. At least he's lost that reputation with most fans at least.
