Always happens.

Quite often we actually get a leg up and contrive to feck it up, we were one up against Italy in 2012 as well before Young bottled it on that occasion.

Should have got Southgate out of retirement, passed him off as an U21 to take a pen

There are positives to take from going out on penalties, the transition from the U21's to the senior squad should be seemless
