The England starting team r grate
not very intelligent, sure-to-disappoint and only just about good enough to qualify
perfect for getting fans hopes up then slipping against dangerous opposition
Interesting pre-match interview from Southgate. I often find myself agreeing with his ideas, just a shame he's limited by the players at his disposal and to some extent his lack of charisma.
It's depressing just how uninspiring that England line up is.
Even more depressing when you realise there aren't many players you could bring in to improve it
What did he say? Just put the game on.
He said the switch to 3-4-2-1 was pre-planned, they'd always planned to use 4-2-3-1 for qualifying to provide a bit more attacking threat but it's going to be 3 at the back from now on through til the World Cup. Will be interesting to see how it pans out but at least there's long-term thinking behind it.

I'm glad he's picked younger players, I think it's the right way to go.
I just wish we had better young players to choose from
I didn't realise you were allowed artificial surfaces for international footy

Our team is about as inspiring as the crowd is noisy.
