I feel like Southgate, as good as he's been, showed some inexperience in the second half. Should have brought on another midfielder to support Henderson in midfield in the second half when Croatia started to dominate... .

Premier League has no relevance for me, that's why I can enjoy England games (this tournament) - no club bias for me.

People can say England have been average but they have been competitive in the semi finals of the world cup the time to celebrate that is now. We can be harsh later and look where we need to improve. The first thing is the creative aspect Kane has had pretty much nothing to play off that's the first thing to look at.

I think Southgate will be most gutted. He must know he made mistakes. We had no game changers on the bench - and I will get roasted for this - but a Walcott or someone with pace and a trick. We had no midfielders to replace Lingard and Alli who were dire this competition. Young at left back was out of his depth today. Taking Walker off instead of Tripper.

But he's a young manager and it's a young team.

England were figured out by Croatia at half time. Modric and Rakitic vs Henderson alone in midfield was not a good matchup.

Well said Hounslows. Cannot fault the effort from the team, but the bottom line is they were simply outclassed, anything other than a Croatia win would have been a traversty, even though my money was on England.

Sterling was a threat first half, if only he knew when to shoot and when to pass he would be some player. The £ity superstars make him look better than he is.

You win and lose games in central midfield, Croatia`s was on a different level to England`s

I'm very proud of the team. That first 45 minutes were the best I've ever experienced watching England.
