I thought this tournament doesn't affect the Euro qualifiers?
Will be interesting next summer as to how much home advantage plays a part.
Oh....thought the winner is automatically qualified for the Euro
Yet another medal for Bernado.
This is a separate tournament.
Euro Qualifiers will account for 20 teams for next year.
Then the other 4 places are won in play-offs based on Nations League placings, which are played next March.

ah that makes sense
Portugal have secured a play off place for the Euros in case they mess up their own qualification. It's why they call it a second chance.
England, the Swiss and Holland get nothing.

That's bullsheet. Those packets of Walkers never open that cleanly without creasing.

Really? I wasn't aware of that. Thought it was only winner with the get out of jail free card.
So it's a totally pointless competition then?

Come 4th out of 4 teams and get the same prize as the winners. I'm sorry but this competition won't stay like this. What's the bleeding point of trying to win then?
Portugal, Netherlands, England and Switzerland
Bosnia, Ukraine, Denmark and Sweden.
Scotland, Finland, Norway and Serbia.
North Macedonia, Georgia, Kosovo and Belarus
Are all guaranteed a play off place next March if they dont qualify.
None of those can face a team from a higher league in the play-offs either.
If any team doesn't need its place then it goes to the next in the list. But none of those guaranteed a place in the play-offs can face a team who placed above them
The point is you get a chance for a trophy and in this case to see England win another shootout

No, you get the Nations League trophy for winning the Nations League.
This tournament reminds me a bit like the Europa League.

No one takes it seriously, but is thankful for the bonus rounds.
I can see it taking over from traditional qualifying altogether tbh.
People might not take it seriously but I'd be happier if that was England lifting the trophy.
That's a nice looking trophy to be fair.
No one takes new tournaments seriously ... give it 20 years when it's firmly established. Inaugural World Cup and Euros also probably thought of in the same way.
