if we include wide players, hazards probably the best midfielder i've seen tbf. Never had the pleasure to watch zidane live sadly. chelsea still not played madrid in europe other than a super cup in 98, in my lifetime.

I think it depends on the player, class of 92 being a good case in point. Beckham benefitted from going on loan, Scholes benefitted from staying and learning in training.

With Foden, I can see an argument both ways between game time vs training every day with both Guardiola and the players we’ve currently got. Personally I err towards the latter being better, but then I do believe he’ll get more time this year anyway

What was the verdict on Zinchenko last season in the end? We were very keen a year ago and wondered if we might try again or is he now a full time part of the squad.

Talk of him signing a new deal, he has stepped up this year, and he is a converted lb aswel. I was surprised he stayed, but it's worked out good.
