Is there a level of frisbee below ultimate that I could start at or are you just thrown in at the deep end?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
the sport is called Ultimate because Frisbee is trademarked, so yes you can play at any level, GB men are one of the best in Europe, but they can't beat the US team though

There's even some report showing that less money is spent on advertising and the women still brought in more money than the men, DESPITE some men getting nearly three times as much pay (for losing).
----------------------------------------------------------------------

But how are they doing this then?

Average attendance in the NWSL is 6000

Average attendance in the MSL is 21,800

So approaching 4 times as many people through the gates each week at presumably a higher cost for a start.

Is it going to just be a simple case of profits in the end, womens football would have far lower running costs than the break even approach of mens football.

Ultimate boomerang is easier to master. Even if you haven't done it in a while it'll come back to you pretty quickly.

We have a girls team that have been together for 4-5 years and sometimes we play against the new guys that have only played for 8 months, mixed with 1 or 2 experienced, they always thrash us, it's so frustrating but it is what it is, men just have the upper hand in sport

who is thehill? never heard of them either.
All I'm saying people can spin data how they want.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fair point. Sadly many often do twist and spin to further their own agendas.

Regarding the US women's football team, I'm not locked in to for or against, just that what I'd read seemed they had a legitimate case. I try to be critical of the sources I read, but haven't delved into that topic to have a very strong opinion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, a lot of information is left out. Like it would be interesting to know how much they get in for friendly or competitive match day attendances, TV rights.

It's interesting that women's league busted twice but the men's league is turning a profit now.

I think people get emotional at the world cup for women's but lose interest right after.

As a women, I'm trying to support it but you can't compare the watch-ability to the men's game. But it's getting better but still has a long way to go.

The best thing about Ultimate Boomerang is that you don't need a team. You can play with yourself for hours!

Not everyone is as bent as a boomerang

Those figures relate to club football, right? I don't think there's any legitimate legal question about that side of the topic. I'm pretty sure what I'd read in the lawsuit related specifically to the national teams.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But if it's just national, obviously the men get more because of the greater prize money in the men's game.
Also are not the men bonus related and the women salary

Oh ok you might be right. Still struggle to believe it but living here i do appreciate the average fan does support both teams pretty equally and it is a very sporty nation with sport rammed down your throat daily and the women are as passionate as the men a lot of the time.

I'm off to bed, but if you want to see a great classic Women's ultimate game, watch USA and Russia, last 20mins is the best if you want to forward it.

Finally Brazil break through, thought they had earlier but it was ruled out by VAR and i don't really know why as i wasn't paying enough attention apparently.

posted on 19/6/19

Scratch that, VAR has ruled out yet another goal that i am struggling to see why, though the commentary is Spanish, i think offside as keeper was advanced after missing the cross and Brazil had a fella near the line.

Fans are chuffed to bits

Not sure how Brazil haven't won this, looked pretty good in the bits I have paid attention to. Though Mexican comms make the dullest game sound incredible so I may be skewed by that.
