Both of these teams would be soundly beaten by England.

I saw that in the last qualifiers when England needed a 94 minute equaliser

England have been easing through qualifiers for years now. Our players have more chance of getting beaten by our own players than the opposition.

Has to be a psychological thing surely because there is no reason England should have such a hopeless tournament record really. Smashed qualifiers this time so no excuses really, Semi finals will be the minimum aim

We have a bottling gene in this country. Seems to apply to a lot of the sports.

Great form from Scotland and Ireland. Making sure fans can head to Benidorm in the summer not looking to find the best bar for football.

Wales vs Hungary tonight's big game. Winner goes to Euro 20. A draw gives Slovakia the place if they beat Azerbaijan.

If Wales or Slovakia do qualify it confirms the play off situation in league B. Bosnia-Herzegovina, Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland will be in the draw with the one who doesn't qualify.

Other things to play for, Germany will secure a top seed plac with a win, pushing France down to second seeds.
A Dutch win, if they end 2nd, will put them in seeding pot 2 but pushes Portugal down to pot 3.

If Germany and Netherlands win the seeding pots for Euro 20 will be :

Pot 1
Italy (h), England (h), Belgium, Germany (h), Spain (h), Ukraine

Pot 2
France, Switzerland, Croatia, Poland, Russia (h), Netherlands(h)

Pot 3
Portugal, Turkey, Denmark (h), Austria, Sweden, Czech Rep.

Pot 4
Finland, Hungary/Wales/Slovakia, 4 x Play off winners.

Hosts are already drawn into groups, and we can say with certainty that Belgium will be in Russia and Denmarks group (Ukraine won't be drawn in Russia's group for political reasons).
England will have one of France, Switzerland, Croatia or Poland in their group, will definitely have Scotland if the Scots qualify. Their pot 3 opponent is less clear.

Yes, Slovakia have the better h2h with Hungary, winning both games.

Should mention Hungary are a host, and could replace Czechia in pot 3 if they win by 4.

This is becoming one of the most bizarre qualifying campaigns of all time. The whole thing is just shambolic.

Just a reminder that England u21s play on BT Sport @ 530.

England getting wrecked in the U21s. Time to abandon their policy of bringing through youth and start making some big money signings. Imagine how rubbish the Prem would be if everyone had to bring through young English players instead of making big money signings from abroad. The national team is no different. Get the cheque book out Gareth.

Fascinating game tonight between Scotland and Kazakhstan.

Will the minnows spring a shock, or will it be the expected, comfortable win for Kazakhstan?

Stay tuned.

A bit unfair for Scotland to be expected to compete against a country with the population of Kazakhstan.
