Certainly not loaded with pure math theory, and won't require a highly mathematical mind. I hardly even count stats as maths TBH. Always felt they should be kept at arms length from one another.

I can do better than that. I can find a website with the theory explained easily and with worked examples. Actually, you could too. All the answers to these questions are on the internet, there are actually some great resources for self teaching maths. Much better than my dry lecture notes.

A more simple and rigorous explanation.

It's super easy. You calculate a few stats from your data then punch them into a formula.
