This can be the PS4 thread, what games are everyone getting for PS4?

I'd be surprised if anyone is getting any games for PS4, isn't there only 2/3 games out on release day?

I played Ryse for the first time last night, it looks absolutely stunning. Visually, one of my favourite games ever. And while the gameplay is pretty standard, I fully expect Ryse to become the new Assassin's Creed, with 4/5 games over the next 8-10 years that will set Ryse up as the next big powerhouse franchise. It has so much potential.

Forza is good, although I'm yet to work out how to change the view from cockpit to above car (I hate drivers view). Graphics are excellent, gameplay ferocious. Having never owned a Forza game before, I love the drivatar system. Playing with your friends even when they're offline is pretty cool.

BF4 I am not taken with. I've been a COD boy forever, but got BF4 because Ghosts on 360 wasn't very good. I really don't enjoy BF4, either campaign or multiplayer. It's rubbish.

I do have Ghosts, so I'll be trying that out tonight.

And FIFA? Brilliant. I hated it on 360, but it's so much better on XB1.

I decided to buy a Nintendo 3DS, Xbox one can wait. 3DS is amazing though, its got some awesome Nintendo exclusives and that new Zelda (sequel to 'A link to the past) sold it to me so I had to buy it. Its brilliant.

I've been tempted by a 3DS.

At the risk of looking ridiculous (I'm 32) I've always like the Zelda games and I find the pokemon games bizzarely fun to play.

Link to the past is a great game.

I never took to Zelda. Link put me off when I was a kid with his Robin Hood looks and arrogant manner. I never really liked playing Zelda games as a result.

Pokemon I'll never understand

I just find pokemon really addictive. I'm slightly embarassed by it to be honest.

I still play Pokemon games, they're really addictive. Not embarrassed about it and I'm in my mid 20s. I mean...I grew up playing Pokemon games.

Nintendo will always have the best exclusives, they've never really relied much on 3rd party games since they have great 1st party titles like Zelda, Pokemon, Mario, Metroid, Donky Kong etc.

ive read xbox games play at a lower resolution than the ps4 games.

confirmation on this and why?

Zelda: A Link to the Past on SNES is one of the best games ever made.

Ocarina of TIme was a total gamechanger. I can still remember pretty much running home from school every day to play it, and that was the first game to ever make me do that. I'm pretty sure everyone around my age played that game and loved it.

No idea, I heard most PS4 games play at the same lower resolution as XB1. But one game I saw the comparison of, I actually preferred the XB1 graphics (I think it was BF4?)

Just read its because the ps4 is slightly more powerful and xb1 reserves some resources for Kinect so they lowered the res in ghosts so they could get a constant 60 fps.

to be honest 1080p and 720p look pretty much the same to me

I can't tell the difference either tbh, and the fps makes no discernable difference while playing it either. To be honest, the biggest difference to your gaming experience will be the TV you're playing it on, not the fps or 1080p/720p stuff.

"Forza is good, although I'm yet to work out how to change the view from cockpit to above car (I hate drivers view)."

Press the 'view' button (it's like where the back button used to be on the old 360 controller) and you can cycle between the different camera angles.

Pretty much, though I think a lot of it is also because Microsoft sent out development kits late to devs compared to Sony. You see games like Forza output beautiful 1080p 60fps, whereas others struggle. Likely in a year or so both systems will put out pretty much the same, though it is pretty certain that towards the end of the ps4's cycle, sony's exclusives will look a lot better than MS's.

Ill prob get an xbox1 after Xmas. Good that you can plug your 360 into it as there are still games coming out on it in the future I really want such as South Park and dark souls 2 plus the inevitable GTA 5 DLC for single player
Really want assassins creed 4 but not sure whether to get now on 360 or later on xb1

What do you mean plug your 360 into it?

Also, can we carry over our saved games from the 360 to the One, like GTA V and stuff?

^Xbox one has a 'HDMI In' port which allows you to connect any device with a HDMI port and play it through the system itself. Doesn't have to only be Cable TV. You could even connect a PS4 to it if you want to and play both the Xbox one and PS4 at the same time using the snap feature.
