So sorry for your loss, being one of the overseas poster this forum keeps me involved with Derby Co and all the people on here are part of a community that I shall never see, but each on has a personality that conjures up a background to me, when I would (see) Richmond Ram all things London came to me, the accent, the hustle and bustle, the underground, none of these things may be true in real life for your Dad, but for me that man has now gone, my thoughts are there with you.

I spent ten years living in London and used to frequently travel up to Derby with the London Rams in the 1980s.
My thoughts are with you and your family and will cheer on the Rams with Andrew in my thoughts this Saturday.
RIP.

I have just picked up on this and feel dreadful for you. Your dad was a dignified poster, but was able to drive home a point with intelligence and nous

Funny how these message boards become part of your routine - your dad was part of the message board and the routine.

Of course I didn't know him personally but always felt that I knew him when he posted - he had a particular style.

Really, really sorry for your loss - bear up and enjoy your time studying here in the East Midlands

RIP - Richmond Ram - which is how I knew him.

I'm sorry to hear the news about Richmondram and its took the shine off the result on Saturday abit. It would of been a game he'd of gone to.
I never had chance to meet him. I know when I was based in Richmond (Yorks) and I put it on here I was in Richmond, Andrew soon asked if I was in his area as I'm sure he was thinking of arranging a pint with me....proper football fan, any some one who i relate to in guiding their children to follow their team and not the Glory teams.
Keep that flag safe and make sure it comes out on display when we get promotion.

Thanks for letting us know about you're dad. Tim just a thought. will you be posting in memory of your dad. A lot of us knew him off the old bbc 606. It would be nice to hear your views on Derby County. See if your dads rubbed off on you.

My first time posting but I have been a silent follower since the old 606 days. I could never pick the right thread to join on, but this somehow is most appropriate. I feel I have got know some of the characters on here, and your dad was certainly one of those, and I am genuinely saddened by his passing. My deepest condolences to you and the rest of your family

Very sorry to hear about your dad . I always wanted to meet the the custodian of the Glastonbury Rams flagpole, but it's reassuring to know it is in dedicated hands going forward . The messages on here show how much he meant to Rams fans all over the world RIP Richmond Ram .

Sorry I can't say anymore I'm truly shocked

I have followed 606 from the BBC days and have found it a vital part of my Derby County family, particularly as I have lived away from Derby for 15 years. I never have met your dad, or many that share their views with us all on this forum. I do, however, feel saddened by his passing as if I had shared part his life, the DCFC part. God bless you all and RIP Richmond Ram

I don't know who you are or why you've decided to come on here snitching, but you DO have a point; there was definitely another person identifying as Richmond claiming the same children and allegiances.

https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/richmond-commu.159093/

What does this mean...? Fck knows. What it doesn't mean that 'our' Richmond was a fake, and with his history of firstly BBC 606 and then ja606 in addition to flying the flag at Glasto etc then I'm inclined to believe the veracity of our poster.

How and why this other account ever existed I don't know or particularly care; there are undoubtedly some twisted people out there in Internetland, but I know whoever was behind the 606 Richmond Ram accounts was a genuine fan; the rest is immaterial.

Sorry if this isnt the level of outrage you'd hoped to whip up with your sniper post
