It's another case of some jumped up, negative foreign owner, trying to exert his authority and money in a subject that he knows SFA about !!!!!!!!!

Potential to ruin the club? Already caused an uproar changing the clubs colours from blue to red. Now sacking arguably their best manager for years who got them promotion last season after so many failed play-off attempts - and I seem to remember it wasn't so long ago that they were beaten finalists in the League Cup...

It's extremely embarrassing. Embarrassing for the league that someone so clearly incompetent at running a football club is running one in the top flight.

Honourable of Mackay to stand his ground but he should just walk. No point in dragging the inevitable out.

Surely it's time to wrest football back out of the clutches of these greedy, egocentric maniacs who are destroying our game club by club.

If he walks he doesn't get compensation. I want him to get every penny from that cu nt.

Mackay, if sacked, will not have a problem getting another job as he knows what he is doing and to be quite honest, will deserve it rather than kowtowing to this foreign ashole

I don't understand what's so wrong in asking for extra funds in January, how does that offend the owner? Tan is clearly a control freak and how he hopes to enjoy his ownership of the club with the fans so disenchanted is unbelievable.

Agreed. Surely both parties want the club to move forward. As it's been stated before though this guy isn't a football fan so that's the only reason I can see. Obviously only at Cardiff to try and make money, not for the on field benefits of the club.

It's not like he even demanded funds he just said he would like 3 New players to strengthen and would discuss what is available moneywise from the guys at the top.

Tan needs to sort out his armpit trousers before contemplating anything else.

I feel sorry for Mackay, but I feel more sorry for the fans of Cardiff City.

Mackay will get another job before Cardiff wear a blue home kit again.

Especially when they were told that changing their kit from blue to red would make them rich. Sold their tradition for a quick-fix promotion and the owner that sold it all away won't even part with some money in January.

I wonder where all Hull Tigers name change apologists will respond to the billions that Cardiff have evidently raked in in trying to mug their fanbase off for some Asian revenue.

We get everywhere don't we?

Certainly with United, our two most successful managers are Scottish

Mackay won't quit because he will want his pay-off (understandably).

Sounds like Tan just can't afford to run the club. Moaning about the summer signings going over budget, sacks the guy who did the signing and replaces him with a kid, now wants to get rid of the manager on a decent contract but won't sack him as he will have to pay him off, so is trying to make his position untenable so he quits.

I could see Mackay replacing Chris Hughton at Norwich pretty soon. He is a Norwich hero as a player, and Hughton is only a couple of bad results away from the boot.

Next two games are Sunderland away and Fulham at home, if they don't go well for Norwich then its merry-go-round time.

If we score early on Saturday then I fear for Cardiff as with our recent form, and their abysmal away form, we could give them a right hiding. Then again, sometimes off field disharmony bring a squad together.

Who in their right mind would take the Cardiff job now though?

Can't say I'm too upset.
