I believe it was a record no of goals at the KP!

A few other pointless stats (from memory)

Last time 8 goals scored in an lcfc game was 4-4 away at spurs on Feb 04
At home was 2-6 v man utd in 99

Anyone remember the last time we had a 3-3 HT scoreline?

I remember drawing 4-4 at home to Crystal Palace in 88, that was around the New Year as well,
and beating Orient 5-3 in 1979

Ha! Too young in 88 and 79 before my time.

I remember losing 3-5 at Blackburn in the late 90's after being 5-0 down

Unfortunately remember two 7-1 defeats.

Away at Newcastle - last game of the season - and we were 0-6 down at HT.

Away at Sheffield Weds and City scored the last goal in a 1-7 defeat. City's goal was so far offside I am sure the Ref felt sorry for us and didn't disallow it.

I was there at Hillsbro'
Steve Moran scored our late goal.

Didnt Mark Bright get a hat trick ?

I was at St Jame's that day - what a different ground it was then with the terraces at both ends!

I remember singing "you're not singing anymore" when we scored to bring it back to 6-1!!

Good day out though - they were promoted an we were guaranteed play-offs so the fans just kicked back and enjoyed the game!!

The highlights from yesterday having at last been posted, I have two questions.

What on earth was Schmeichel playing at for Beckford's goal? Feeble indeed.

And what's the story behind the two green whatevertheyweres handed to GTF when he scored?

The City were subjected to some 'right tonkings'' during the mid 60's as well as meting out some forthright punishment themselves.

My first outing was going to be at White Hart Lane circa 1965/66 when we were put to the sword (6-2). Quite why I didn't attend I cannot recall but I remember hearing about Banksy's fury over Jimmy Greaves's penalty kick and the manner in which it was taken.

...and then there was that inglorious hammering at Goodison Park (1-7) that occasionally features in posts.

Oh yes, didn't Shilton play a blinder as well?

Remember beating West Ham at home 5-4 just after the world cup, Moore, Peters, Hurst and all.

Also remember losing at home 2-6 to Birmingham on a skating rink in the mid 70s.

Gloria are you sure it was Steve Moran that scored at Wednesday? I seem to remember doing the conga after Bobby Davison scored?

Bobby Davison , scored in a 1 - 7 away defeat to S.Wed.
in league cup 1992-93.
When Moran was at City we beat S.Wed 6 - 1 at home ,
Moran got 3 goals !
He also scored 1 goal in the 2-2 away game ( 1986 - 87 season ).

Happy New Year !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I stand Corrected Arro.
Sorry!
Didn't we beat Newcastle 5-4 in the late 80s ealy 90's ? after they beat 5-4 at St James Park, (Or vice versa)

We beat Arsenal 7-? back in 64.
Was this also the year we beat Coventry 8-1 as a young lad I went on a coach from school..

Trouble is I also remember Bolton winning 5-0 at Filbo possibly the first game of the season losing to the newly promoted club.

^ I think the Arsenal 'keeper (Jack McLelland or Jim Furnell) was taken off so poor old Joe Baker had to go in goal. I recall seeing a copy of the Arsenal programme a week or so later, highlighting the two Gunners goals in photographs if I'm correct. (What else would I expect).

Weren't we the newly promoted club, walloped 0-5 by Bolton at home on the opening day of the season?

Malling .....taylor got us relegated and ruined a good spell in the prem.
Bolton wasn't the beginning of the end, most of us saw it coming when we were actually top of the prem, the previous year.
