Chris Waddle can't say the word 'Penalty'

He calls it a 'PELANTY'
----------------------------------------------------------------------

John Hartson also says this. He was on BBC's Final Score a while ago and corrected himself after saying PENALTY!

Along the lines of 'That was a definite penalty, er pelanty'. He deliberately said pelanty.

'Moyesin' and 'Moyesout' really annoy me.

It's because you are doing it wrong, it goes like this; you put your Moyesin and take your MoyesOut, you put your MoyesIn and you shake it all about

Geordie and Brummie phrases.

Far worse than our cloth capped friends.

'wi eye canny lad'

I mean, WTF gibberish is that?

Gonna have to respectfully disagree. There are easy games tbh. They may well have taken points of top teams but they haven't won a game since their new manager arrived, they have the second worst form in the league, and look like absolute certainties for the drop. We couldn't of hoped to play them at a better time.

World Class

There are so many players nowadays that are described as 'World Class' that - and I'm not blowing my own trumpet here - I could almost be called 'World Class', and I've not kicked a ball for nearly 4 years.

French....To be perfectly honest, I have no fúcking idea what people mean when they say a player has good 'technique' - it's such a vague term and means feck all. What does it mean?

Just another description for someone that doesn't like to tackle or run around or cold and wet weather. And wears gloves.

Love to a waiter in a restaurant

If any illiterate moron asked me when making their order, for example ...

'Can I GET a Chicken Kebab'...

I would reply 'Well, no you can't actually, but as your waiter I will get one for you"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This might annoy you - it certainly annoys Sean Lock - but it has nothing to do with literacy.

Keystone Cops defending is one that annoys me a bit, people under the age of about fifty have no idea who or what Keystone Cops is (an old tv show?).

Also, "number 10" to refer to the withdrawn striker, it's not Rugby were a number has always related to a players position. Number 10's have played in defence for Germany and in midfield for other teams.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well actually, originally shirt numbers did refer to positions. The starting xi always had shirt numbers 1-11.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes but that isn't the case anymore, like I said players have worn a number and haven't played in the position it was originally designated for, it's happened for decades.
