Pulisic declined a new contract as he wanted playing time.

4 games this season, 3 we should have won, one that should have been a draw.

It's about performances at this stage and Burnley aside we have looked okay.

Sturridge at the end was a bit disconcerting, didnt want people reading his lips so was probably complaining about klopp.

It's an odd one.. We are playing decently, but he's a 1 in 2 striker and I can't help but feel he should be playing..

I think their were lots of hints last season that given all strikers fit then Sturridge might not be first choice for Klopp.

That is continuing so far this season.

I don't think Sturridge is his ideal striker for the way he wants to play.

If we were struggling to score goals then I could understand complaint with Sturridge not being he main man, but we have scored more goals in 2016 than anyone in the country.

The fact Sturridge is a prolific individual doesn't matter if the team performs better (from the managers perspective) without him in it fairly regularly.

I think this is an issue that will continue all season, but we'll see. Firmino and Origi both seem to be ahead of him for the centre forward position.

I think Sturridge will start at home to Leicester. He was benched today as this system has been proved to work against the top teams away from home.

Wins against City and Chelsea last year, win against Arsenal and should have been another one today really, but we didn't take our chances. This will be our system when we go to Chelsea in a few weeks time, United...City again this season.

It won't work against all opposition but it's an effective one for us in these fixtures. We need to find a different system for our home games and against the smaller teams away from home as it failed at Burnley and failed several times against the smaller teams last year.

I agree but the flip side is that we haven't scored from open play in over 180 mins. I think Klopp has to start him really and although guess work, and of course Firmino 'won' the penalty, I think he's a real threat that missing a false 9's pressing is worthwhile.

Danny Ward had a great game today apparently, surprising that he hasn't had much of a chance for us yet.

I don't see why firmino and sludge can't play in a front 4,

That's what our personnel best suits, both firmino and studge drop deep anyway so we wouldn't be lacking in midfield as a result.

Can't make my mind up on matip, seems good, but it's strange how much he likes to get forward, both games this week he has run out of defence with it, given a one - two with a midfielder and been around the opposition 18 yard line. Just as well we don't have him and Agger together, wouldn't have any centre backs!!

The Sturridge situation is set to run and run.

Firmino will continue to play against the big teams as he starts the pressing which is a key element to how the manager wants to play.

Where Sturridge can be very useful is when we are playing against packed defences, especially at home. I wouldn't be surprised if he plays against Leicester,

Overall I think we've made a solid start to the season. We've been the better team in every game and with a bit of luck we should have had a few more points on the board.

I thought Matip looked good in tandem with Lovren, especially as it was his first league start playing against a decent spurs team.

Sturridge doesn't press enough, hence why Origi is coming on ahead of him. He must be frustrated though, he is still the best natural finisher we have.

Decent first half today but went flat in the second half, especially after that disallowed goal. Lallana just offside but just is enough, unfortunately.

Rose scores and the cross came from the left. Milner had started to step out just as the ball went over his head to Dier. He isn't a left back and Klopp needs to either hope for a miracle with Moreno or sign another player in that position. Rather annoying that we've left Enrique and Flanagan go who could both play there.

Surely we have to give Milner a chance to see what he can do at LB, given Moreno's propensity to make mistakes?

Moreno should be used in a similar way to Sturridge i.e. at home against well organised defences when we need more natural width. I thought Milner did alright there today and his delivery from corners was better too.

Enrique

Flanagan for me is a right back (despite playing reasonably well as a LB for a period under Rodgers).

I've pretty much resigned myself into accepting that there is little chance of us bringing in a first team player at this late stage of the window.

Its amazing some of then conclusion people draw. I've seen many a player do this. It's not probable he was talking about Klopp buy it's possible.

Milner has always played in midfield during his career. Never at left back. Can't see this working this year. I'm not saying he's not doing a job but we are playing him out of position. If he trusts Moreno he would play. If he doesn't, he needs a natural left back to challenge him for his place.

Exactly my thoughts!

If he thinks Moreno is good enough, play him!

If not, sign a left back but don't make do with a right footed CM playing there!

Enrique

While Flanagan wasn't even on the bench today for Burnley. Sadly it looks like he is unlikely to come back as the player he was. Got to fear for his career with the length of time he has been out and being unable to get in a first team.

The bigger issue was Gomez getting injured again as he may well have found himself in the team if he had a pre-season behind him.

Had a lot of time for Enrique at one point, not sure what happened but it's a shame his career tailed off as it has.

That ball to Suarez for the goal against Newcastle!
