Rodgers says that's Scott Brown would have played ahead of Gerrard/Henderson in our 13/14 team.
Ok mate.

We're winning these games we lost before, we look great going forward.
Strange how all the "Yeah but Burnley" brigade have disappeared since Everton (The new Man City Superclub) and Utd managed a total of 1 point between them and Arsenal only scraped an injury time winner against them.........
Yeah it's become very obvious very quickly that Burnley are very good at defending in numbers and making themselves hard to beat.
The worst thing to do against them is concede early, and that's what did for us in that game.
It was early season, and while you can't ignore a defeat, I suspected the hysteria after it was blown well out of proportion and so it has proved.
Losing to Burnley may have been the best thing to happen to us this season. We now treat the smaller club's with more respect rather than thinking we just beat Arsenal so Burnley should be easy. It's not if we win but by how much etc
Was just looking at the next five fixtures for all the challenging teams:
Liverpool:
Watford (h)
Southampton (a)
Sunderland (h)
Bournemouth (a)
West Ham (h)
Arsenal:
Spurs (h)
Man Utd (a)
Bournemouth (h)
West Ham (a)
City:
Middlesbrough (h)
Palace(a)
Burnley (a)
Chelsea (h)
Leicester (a)
Spurs:
Arsenal (a)
West Ham (h)
Chelsea (a)
Swansea (h)
Man Utd (a)
Chelsea:
Southampton (a)
Everton (h)
Middlesbrough (a)
Spurs (h)
City (a)
United:
Swansea (a)
Arsenal (h)
West Ham (h)
Everton (a)
Spurs (h)
There are some pretty gruelling fixtures list for most there. I expect City to win most of their games, but there is going to be a lot of dropped points in all those games I reckon. Football is a funny game but on paper at least we have a real opportunity to put a bit of a gap between us and some of the others, a really important part of the season for us after we had our horrible games at the start.
You expect United will improve but they are already 8 points off the pace, they could easily be long way off by the end of those games
They also have tough europa fixtures and a cup tie with west ham, so are basically playing every three days from now until christmas which is really tough physically.
Our fixtures between now and the new year are very favourable. Only really City, Everton and Southampton that, on paper, look a real test. It won't be as easy as that but lots of people will start saying "look who Liverpool have played" if we go on a winning run. They'll quickly forget about the first five games we had which included Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea all away.
I agree Neo on Utd.
People will say it's early days but I think they are done in the title race, and could very easily be done in the top 4 race in 5-6 games time too.
They really have become the new Liverpool from the mid 90's. Soon after domination and with fans still believing that they were destined to storm to the top again any time soon. They are the new 'next year is our year'. There fans are already convinced that Mourinho always wins in his second season so don't care about this one.
Kidding themselves IMO. The club just isn't well run anymore from top to bottom. Losing Gill and Fergie in quick succession really killed them.
Don't agree with all this bull about Bourinho finding his best team. He's had God knows how many years of PL experience and Pep walks in fresh to a new team, finding his best team too, yet City are top and Utd are struggling. Making poor excuses for an outdated manager.
Going the same way as his final few months as Chelsea manager last season.
They bought some exceptional players in the summer in Ibra, Mhikitaryan, Bailly and Pogba.
Add that to the likes of Rashford, Martial they already had they should be doing so much better than they currently are.
I think it's down to the manager personally, playing them out of position (Rashford at left back) or not at all in some cases like in Mhikitaryan. Pogba has been rubbish but it's clear he's being misused too.
Now 15 odd games into their season and he still doesn't have a clue on his first 11. It's only going to get more difficult having to chop and change his team every days until Christmas for the Europa.
