Lovren should be better than Caulker, he is older, and vastly more experienced at club and international level.
He will also be a lot more expensive. Why would Saints sell him for less than £15-20m when they paid £8m a year ago and he had a good season? Not to mention that Shaw and Lallana could both be leaving, they have no need to sell all their star players.

I haven't seen enough of him to be honest.
I know he is highly rated and if we signed him them great.
For me it's not a case of Lovren or Caulker, things are never that simple.
I just don't get the Caulker bashing. To be fair most of it is coming Ttliv who is well known as a mentalist.
For all I know we might not even be interested in either player.
Although some may/may not be fans of either agger/skrtel one thing i'm sure of is if one or both get moved on,we need top quality experience to come into our backline,putting in 22/23 year olds as a pair does'nt fill me with confidence,at least one older head is needed i'd say.
See i dont get this very highly rated bit, he wasnt great in france thats why southampton got him cheap, a liability at times.
Id rather keep skrtel personally
I agree if Agger and or Skrtel leave and with Kolo seemingly out of favour towards the end of the season then we would need an experienced centre half too.
