Poor second half. Sturridge should have scored, and then kept being caught offside.

Salah's miss was the one for me. Basically an open net.

Ok Salah should have adjusted his body for a side volley but hey should've been finished before that.

The mistakes at the back just come at the wrong time. I get that you can't afford to make mistakes at the back and when you do they could get punished more so than a midfield mistake.

But the timing, a few minutes after our goal, we couldn't consolidate our position.

Needs to be sorted as it's a facking joke.

Also, Coutinho picking up the ball from the defence.. wtf is that all about?

I thought the keeper did really well with the Sturridge one. Basically Sturridge had no angle, only through his legs. Salah had an open goal. All he had to do was stick a toe on it.

None of the front players played well today really.

Mane was poor. Salah was livelier and did some good things but some poor things. Sturridge was poor.

Newcastle away was never going to be easy though. We still had enough chances to win the game.

Mane was our worst player today, his touch was poor, he never tried taking anyone on. No idea what was up with him today.

Another straight ball between lovren and Matip for a goal today as well, both watching the ball and backing off instead of one sliding across onto Joselu. Happened a couple of times at city too.

Sturridge just doesn't look the same player to me, another bad performance from him today. Keeps missing chances that are ultimately costly in these tight matches. Not good enough from him.

All round team performance was very poor today, didn't deserve anything more than a point.

Could go on about the defence again but i'm just sick of repeating myself every week to be honest, and it is every week. We had the chance to improve it in the summer, we unbelievably didn't.

Teams starting to work out they will easily get results against us by parking the bus as we will always gift them a goal at the other end, no matter how deep they sit.

I realy hope we get a top defender in january. One who reads the game, is good in the air and has the pace.

Until then we need to be in touching distance with the top four.

We didn't work their keeper enough but we created enough to win.

Wijnaldums form is a definite concern.

He had up and downs last season but first season was decent overall and you expect to kick on second season but so far he's gone backwards.

First ten minutes I actually thought he was good today but it didn't last and he disappears far too easily in away games.

He needs to get back on the goal trail quickly and get some confidence in his game.

Be interesting to see what team starts against Utd but a lot will depend on who comes back fit after the internationals.

Who'd have thought Moreno would probably be our most consistent player so far this season

Wij was terrible all game. You would think if someone is playing bad that you take him off but no he gets the full 90 mins.

I could've played in goal for Newcastle today. Feck even a drunk kls could've been in there

Never ceases to amaze me that people who have watched football for a long time still think that 10 man defences should be easy to break down.

Looked at the table earlier and was a bit surprised to see we're already above you.

It was only a few weeks ago you were 6 points ahead of us.

The great sides win that game with 1-0.

Nobody ever called us a great side.

We are work in progress.

If we are still doing the same things in 18 months then I will be concerned.
