Two shocking results for Chelsea and Arsenal to be fair, helps keep us in touch.

Spurs pulling away now though so can’t lose to them next weekend otherwise it looks a hard task already to catch them.

Our own results have to improve and absolutely no reason why that shouldn’t be starting away in Maribor on Tuesday. Must win for us if we are going to progress.

Yeah no excuses for not winning that one.

Hopefully a nice confidence builder to take to Wembley.

Also hopefully playing Real Madrid will take something out of Spurs.

Definitely need a win on Tuesday, feels like an age since we beat Leicester.

I’d like to see Robertson play Tuesday.

I’m not saying he needs dropping but Klopp has been rotating and I think it’s only fair that Robertson gets a chance.

Moreno is the senior player compared to Robertson, and Robertson coming in seems to have given him a kick up the ass

Moreno has been good to be fair.

Utd tried to target him today but didn't really have that much joy in doing so.

I still want more from Moreno going forward though. He doesn't do enough for me.

A bit weird that Robertson hasn't played much but I am sure he will get more football as the season goes on.

Shout to the Ox today who had easily his best 10 mins for the club. Looked confident and bright so hopefully that gives him a little lift.

Gomez also was excellent today. Has had some very harsh stick on this board by people forgetting he's a 20 year old who didn't play football for best part of 2 years.

He's clearly a talented footballer who has a good career ahead of him if he can stay fit. His passing is high quality for a defender.

Yes I agree!

What’s happened to Firmino btw? He’s goals have completely dried up

I think Studge/Solanke need more minutes IMO

I think they did get in behind Moreno quite a few times, but luckily had no end product.

Firmino could do with a rest to be honest, his performances have been poor in recent weeks. Not confident either Sturridge or Solanke would do any better though they look majorly out of form too.

They haven’t had the minutes that Firmino’s had though

Yeah, I keep seeing people say how terrible he is on the ball but I haven't seen that at all. Ok he isn't great carrying it but he passes it well and is calm under pressure. Usually puts at least one very good cross in too.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah it's been a lazy criticism of him just because people know he's a centre half so assume he won't be good on the ball.

He hasn't got a trick but he's got pace and power and looks to pick players out rather than just stick it in the mixer. Very promising performance today against direct dangerous opponents in Martial then Rashford.

Gomez was good today some of his crosses were superb.

Mo Salah frustrates the hell of me...

Today his movement was on par with Mane, but as soon as he gets in around the penalty box he looks loss.

Tbf the Ox looked very productive when he came on and looks eager to take his opportunity and with Mane out he should!

Now why does Klopp wait so long for his Subs... Every single one of those subs should’ve been on 10 Mins earlier imo

I don’t think there was anything wrong with Klopps subs. We were dominating the game, so 75 mins was a reasonable time.

Ox impressed me in his brief cameo. From the minute he came on he got the ball and sprinted at Darmian, turning him inside and out. He was also pressing him at a sprint and sliding in to try and make a block, which The a field croud really appreciated.

Today for me he showed he does have something about him so he's not a lost cause, and also that he gives a damn. He went out there to try and prove himself to the fans and so he won brownie points with me. Easy to forget he's actually younger than Lingard and lingard still seems to get spoken about as some kid.

Ox may well get a start in Maribor as I would imagine Klopp will be thinking about Spurs so we may get to see what he can do.

Did anyone else see what Sakho did for palace? 90th minute, crowded goalbox, he gets the ball on the goal line and tries to backheel it into the box, why no one knows, gives it to a Chelsea player inside the 6 yard box who just misses.

He's a decent defender but sometimes you wonder what on earth he is thinking.

Man City are looking well on track to break the PL goals record this season.

Their 29 goals in 8 games gives them an average of 3.625 per game. The record of 103 averages out at 2.7 per game.

There doesn't appear any big reason why City's goal fest will suddenly dry up. The average position of their opponents this season is 13.5, so they haven't had the hardest start, but they have scored 12 goals in their 3 games against top half teams, better than their average.

Man Utd look far more likely to be flat track bullies. Their average opponent position is 14.6 with only one top half side played and 6 touches in the opposition box to show for it

Our average opponent position 8.3 in comparison.

Classic Sakho, wtf was he thinking. Solid defender but always capable of a brain fart like that.
