Didn't Rafa's GK coach follow him to Napoli which brought Reina back to form because he wasn't good when he started there.
I think after De Gea, Courtois and it looks like Ederson there isn’t much between any of the other keepers around in the PL.
I don’t rate Lloris that highly, he’s just got the best defence in front of him. He’s a decent keeper but he makes mistakes pretty regularly when called upon.
I have never bought into the Butland hype and Pickford isn’t pulling up trees at Everton (nor is Keane). Forster I do like but he has dropped some clangers.
It’s slim pickings for top quality.
Keane Wonder if he's still waiting for us to finish top 4 before joining us?
Definitely glad we avoided Hart when all the pundits were saying we should be in for him. Agreed that there's not much difference between most of the top flight keepers after DDG, Courtois and Ederson (bit too soon too judge him?). Lloris is definitely a cut above Mignolet though.
Heaton was impressive last season but there's a massive difference between being a GK under the cosh for 90 mins or being called on a few times every game. I do think we would benefit from a sweeper keeper though - Reina of ten years ago would be ideal. Quick off his line to help out our high defensive line and think of the amount of counterattacks he would start with long throws to Salah and Mane.

The keepers who look the best are often at the bottom clubs because they have loads to do so people see them making saves and think ‘wow he looks good!’
It just doesn’t translate to being a keeper at a top club.
I agree re the sweeper keeper and am disappointed with Karius in this regards as I was expecting that to be a strength as it was a strength of Weidenfeller.

Give him time for his mind to wander and he struggles.
This can be said for a lot of the side...even when making decisions in the final third.
Brewster at it again. Hope he gets thrown into first team on this form.
Too much pressure on the team & Klopp atm.

No different to when Rashford got thrown in though.
Would rather Woodburn got the minutes.

I didnt say they shouldn't be without pressure. There's always pressure.
Would just be madness to bring in Brewster when the players around him aren't up to things and committing errors or not obeying the manager's instructions.
Still would prefer Woodburn because he's bring on the fringes for a while now and he should be first in line if we're going to be dipping into the youth.

We are stacked with Woodburn types. What we dont have is someone who when he gets a chance might actually score.
No confidence in Firmino, Sturridge and even Solanke.

The Echo has been bigging up the 19 yo U23s keeper Grabara a bit recently. Only 5 years to wait to see if he can get into the first team...
Tbh...I not against Woodburn, TAA, Gomez, Brewster & Wilson all getting minutes instead of the senior players....especially the ones that have been letting us down for the past 3-5 years.

Brewster just got his second hatrick in successive games!
What position does the Brewsdog play?
