I said a year ago we should sign Lambert as an ideal back up/rotation and got shot down.
I have watched the lad since his Rochdale days in L2. He has tekkers, knows the game, great in the air but good on the deck too.
Scores and creates goals, great signing IMO.

Definitely. Don't mind paying 25m at a push, anything above would be mad. I suspect it's brinkmanship. If he wants to leave, no ones going to pay over 25m for him, so they'll probably settle for it in the end....
Just dont reckon he's worth more than £20m personally,being financially raped by saints if we pay anywhere near the £30m the're demanding and have learnt nothing.

£30m for Lallana would be too much for someone with no European and barely any International experience.
It's not our fault Saints agreed a 25% sell on with Bournemouth. They could have negotiated that away at any point in the last however many years but didn't. That's their problem.
Fabregas is not a realistic alternative though. His wages would be twice as much as Lallanas at least so while the transfer fee might be comparable the total deal certainly wouldn't.
