He's on like £120-140k for what is effectively a squad player. I doubt we're going to increase that.
People want shot of Sturridge partly because of that reason as well. Injuries play the other part.
Could see Milner replacing Gerrard in the coaching set up.
I still hope we keep Origi
He doesn't strike me as the coach type...but neither did Gerrard so who knows.
ings his 26 in july, defo needs a loan or to be moved on

Don't think he is a squad player anymore. Surely the first name on the teamsheet in midfield. Deserves the same wages imo.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
DOnt think he will be next season
At Milner age it is more important about the length of contract than how much it will be. He won't get his £140k. Not feasible for someone who is 32. He is probably looking at a 2 year deal with an option of 3rd.
We could just let his contract run down and let him become a free agent when he is 33.
There's been nothing in milners performances to suggest any drop off in production due to his age. He has been fantastic. If he wants a longer co tract id give it to him. Definitely want him in the squad. We need both his ability and his experience, especially considering we have the leagues youngest squad
His wage is generous, just give him an extention
I think we only have 2 players on more than him anyway? VVD & sturridge

I think I've given him far too much freedom on the Internet. Need to keep an eye on that boy

I don’t think anybody would own up to that absolute sh!t stain being of they’re loins.
Kindly leave my loins out of it, saggy balls.
Anyone will be proud to have Matth as a son.
Can’t believe anyone is suggesting Milner isn’t worth another contract. He’s been fantastic for quite a while, and his experience can’t be underestimated. He’s fit as a fiddle, and rarely gets injured. As it stands, his age is largely irrelevant imo.

We need a squad player like Milner. I was gutted when Lucas left as we always needed him at the end of the season when our squad was weak and depleted.
Milner is a great servant to the club. Will play anywhere and just gets on with it. Klopp said he is the 2nd fittest player in the squad.
The way he marshaled De Bruyne at anfield was fantastic
It is always good to have committed players who work and train hard. The youngsters will see it and hopefully it will brush off on them
Totally agree, the youngsters need to look at Milner more often
How often? The first 30 minutes of training every day so as to start each day with maximum focus?
Maybe a group video conference last thing at night to reinforce the need for reflection on what they accomplished that day?
Moreno will be an interesting one.
We will need a replacement if he goes, although Adam Lewis is a left back for the youngsters who is very highly rated so Klopp may make space for him if he’s seen as ready for a few games. We also have Milner and Gomez who could be used in emergencies.
We may just keep Moreno around for the last year of his deal for squad banter and instagram.

2 MPH seems reasonable (Milners per hour)
