Thing with Origi,I can never see him improving. He's such a confidence player that I don't think he'll suit being a third choice striker that doesn't get the minutes that he needs.

On Solanke..... he's played 600 minutes of Prem and CL football. Not a lot really is it. Klopp likes him though because he does the right things and Pearce said Klopp hoped to promote Brewster and not buy a striker. Don't be surprised if we don't bring anyone one in as Firmino cover.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He looked like a completely different player against Brighton!

Such a huge drop in quality with Firmino out, plus I think we don't just need cover but other options. There are some games when Firmino is better suited coming from deeper with a striker ahead of him (such as Brighton), or games when he's just ineffective.
We need options, not a first 11.

Origi is 23, saying he won't improve is utterly ridiculous.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No it's not. There isn't some sliding scale of age vs improvement and in fact there are dozens of examples of players getting worse, not better.
There is some stuff you just can't teach and I don't think Origi will learn it.

So despite the fact that 2 seasons ago, at 21, he was our first team striker - therefore clearly he has ability - and we have a manager that has been excellent at improving players, you are convinced he won't improve despite being half a decade short of a footballer's peak age?

Think this is why Ramsey may be a decent option.
Ox has given us something in midfield extra against the crap teams that park the bus, the ability to run past his opponent in midfield/find spaces is something we lack without him playing. Opens up the spaces.
Obviously Keita will help with that too but with Ox to miss the first few months of the season, another player like that would help.
I quite like both Ramsey and Wilshere, would take either to be honest.

Keita, Fekir/Lemar & Ndidi and we're smiling going into next season.
All quality signings and each player brings something different to our current midfield options.
though i still want a new cb to partner virgil, scared of what'll happen if he gets injured
