Well not really from a compassionate point of view. Probably briefed by the club to not report anything. Lad had his heart set on a move and if we announced we'd pulled out because his knees are shot it adds insult as it could deprive him and Lyon from a further transfer.

We did exactly the same with Remy and I’m all for it, you can’t go round spending £55m on someone who could break down at any moment.

We did exactly the same with Remy and I’m all for it, you can’t go round spending £55m on someone who could break down at any moment.

We didn’t do the same with Ox though. Known injury problems throughout his career but we still paid 35m when he had just 1 year left on contract.

did anything long standing come up in his medical?

ox has been playing sinc his mid teens and s lot of his injury’s have been him growing, add in the fact he was at arsenal and they’re medical team is horrendous!

add in he’s english and he was very good until his knee went!

i wasn’t for signing Ox, i’d have rather waited and signed him for free but he worked. hes been superb and you can’t argue!

in fact it’s hard to argue against any signings Kloop has made and i include karius in that, the amount paid and his age made it a good buy!


i don’t see why the club who have negotiated the biggest fees we’ve ever paid in the last 12 months would try and get a few bob off if he was ok!

On previous threads it seemed a foregone conclusion that the club is to blame for this.

We've been batten down the hatches so bad we concede before the fight has started.
