Doesn't help. I'm already (temporarily) married to a German, all it means is I would be able to apply for citizenship after 5 years instead of 8. Already been here 9 anyway!

Strange game tonight and wanted to get a few thoughts down. First half it felt like it was going to be 'one of those days' but their goal which looked to be offside and a foul (keeper had two hands on the ball) sparked us into life.

That was probably Keita's best game for us and he was desperately unlucky not to score. Really good to see a midfielder running at the defence from deep and shooting from distance which we've been lacking since Coutinho went.

Alisson was magnificent again. His speed to make a great save, win the second ball and then start a counter attack in the 90th minute was great and reminded me of Pepe before he lost it.

Also, our defending of FKs is worth mentioning. That's PSG, Fulham and Burnley who have all had goals chalked off for offside from a FK in recent weeks. I seem to remember another earlier in the season too. The team have certainly been practising that high line and it's paying dividends but it is a high risk strategy! Thankfully it's easy for the AR to get in line with our defence as they're stood still and get the offside call correct.

Finally, here's hoping Gomez is OK

Agree with much of your thoughts actually. Their goal shouldn't ever have counted but it turned out to be the best thing to happen to us all game and we looked so so much better afterwards. Almost as if we finally took the handbrake off and actually went for it.

Before the goal Keita was our only good player but he looked immense last night. Really seemed up for it.

Special mention for Alissson who was brilliant again. That save and then set up of the counter attacked showed just how amazing he is as a goalkeeper. Definitely think we may have one of if not the best goalkeeper in the world in nets.

There was a guy here at our workplace that told everyone that I had a wife and 2 kids back in my hometown and I had left them there and moved to Pretoria to find a new life

I played along with it for a while.

Us & City the only teams to win away from this set of fixtures.

Felt like watching the old Liverpool last night at times, was great to watch.

Weird that an opposition scoring should kick us into life.

Special mention to Edwards for working well in tandem with Klopp.
