Loads of players even in our squad have changed position, Henderson started at right midfield, Shaqiri was a winger, Chamberlain was a winger, Gomez went from RB to CB, Firmino from CAM to centre forward...
Firmino had played as a striker before coming to us.
Everyone listed has taken a sideways step, not a change of third..
Besides which our fullbacks need to be very good on the ball, they have it a lot!! Milner agreed to play there despite having a contract saying he could play CM (allegedly) after klopp told him he would have more of the ball there and a bigger influence on the game (klopps own words)
Perhaps when he loses a bit of his pace, cant see it happening before, clyne will be the rb we lose to allow another youth through
He can play there but I don't think Klopp will change his position. Midfield is a very hard position to play as you need to read the game and you need to have stamina in our setup.

Coutinho on loan?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, indeed.
Ozil not in the squad for them tomorrow it seems- didn’t travel with the rest of the team today.
Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing for us.
Bad thing for us.. he always gets dominated at Anfield

88 times more than me.
I never watched Trent as a youngin'. Think I only ever saw him twice and I can't even remember where he played.
However, I've obviously watched him a lot for the first team and for me, I just don't see a midfielder. I honestly don't see these "attributes to play as a box to box".
IMO even if he could, I'd say he'd have to be a DM perhaps in the Fabinho mould. All in all I think he can be a right sided Ashley Cole for us for many years and moving him to midfield would be a waste.
We can buy midfielders better than TAA. Even now we can buy better midfielders than we currently have(if they exist)
Buying a right back better than TAA is another question.
He's one of our own, settled and now owns the position. He's at least top 3 for that position in England, he should be a legend eventually, like Neville. <chokingsmiley>
Just my 2 cents.
Filtered by Sandy for telling him to grow up, and reminding him that he’s 70.....
People need to stop giving the Sours bites. That’s why they are obsessed with us cos we respond.

I have watched most of our games on dutch tv here in the Netherlands but they have decided to show the Spurs and City games.
I am now looking for acestream links.

I’ve never had me no Dutch gash, what’s it like

Is it like Rohypnol?

He's an excellent passer, can manipulate it, great engine, good vision and is a clean striker of the ball. Playing rb will give him a huge amount of experience tactically and in one on one situations.
I think he'll end up in midfield myself.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When he broke into the first team I believed similar. However, I've changed my mind as his natural game does seem more suited to playing as an attacking right back.

This.
I don’t know why you lads respond to him. It’s his sole reason for being here.
Think I’m going to keep my powder dry on the whole thing till the festive fixtures are out the way, see how things turn out.
Or until spurs get beat and I can’t keep it back.
