It's a noble attempt to pad-out the thread in memory of the ones we lost along the way

Like I wouldn't mention the second name in your post in this thread, you might just get the thread closed.

Manfrom hopefully just taking a break, he's not banned from what I understand

Nah manfrom isn't banned, not sure why he hasn't posted recently. Jaws went crying to his mum when his facebook page got posted and quit the site out of embarrassment.

Don't think they are linked.

He's not banned at all. He just is just in complete disagreement, as to our moderation. I'd even accept he might very well be in the right in this instance. Nothing wrong with that.

Got to say admin I think the work you do here is great, but references to Heysel, Hillsborough, Munich and the like really should just be deleted immediately.

I really can't agree, within some very blurred boundaries they need to be accessable. I have banned many accounts for clearly mocking the tragedies over the years. It's clearly not a pleasant or constructive area to be moderating around.

Realistically how likely is a person on here bringing up Heysel, for example, to be genuinely upset about it? It’s used as a stick to beat LFC fans with. Most of whom weren’t old enough to have been there, contributed to it or been part of the hooligan culture back then.

A sensible discussion about Heysel would include talking about the wider culture of hooliganism and would shy away from focussing on one club in particular, and finger pointing. It was the scourge of the game not just one club.

The problem is that a lot of people don't know what was happening in that era and what actually happened so the posts get derailed.

I try to avoid Hillsborough on here as I attended. I don't think I have seen anyone out a low blow on Hillsborough as I would of complained and admin know I have never complained in all the years I have been on here.

My dad attended Hysel and told me what really happened. I agree that a thread can get derailed so probably best to just stop a discussion on it and nip it in the bud.

I think admin do a really good job around tragedies on here and they seem to stamp out any foolish comments.

Bringing up Heysel in itself, in the right context and in the right manner is fine.

The chances of that happening on JA606 are a million to one.

Yes they did.

There should of been a lot more people arrested as well not just the fans.

NSNO has just put himself into the running for the biggest kant on JA606 with a comment about a user's dead mother.

Jesus some people on here...

Thanks admin for deleting that one.

Unfortunately there is a degree of ill feeling surrounding it in some quarters.

How the fack has LQ survived the last year. Although saying that, I haven't seen him recently. Reckon admin may have had a little word in his ear.
