Its how its worked for years anyway, everything outside london has been facked the last 40 years to grow the city.

Now anywhere within two hours on the train is becoming london commuter towns, happening where i live, 500k homes popping up, utterly bizarre.

Anyone see the Tories roll out a change to pensions the day before the vite so it got swallowed by that news.

Scvm.

You pay 40% tax on everything OVER £40k (although the40k figure may have changed).

So you should.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
£40k is absolutely fack all when your average house price down here is well over £400k.

Perhaps you should be taxed more in the North where things are cheaper as you don't need it as much...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The whole country shouldnt be held to londons standards?

Do you even know why house prices are so high there? Its because the tories have re-inflated the housing bubble to attract foreign investment to the city.

Your beloved neoliberalist economics

Nothing tops their cuts to disability living allowance under cameron.

Trebled the rate that claimaints died, then they spent £100m trying to cover up the report showing it. Then when a court forced publication they just said "correlation not cause" and cut it again.

How anyone voted for them in the snap election after that just beggars belief, literally sanctioning the death of the sick and old.

Utterly vile isn't it, just shocked they're still in power and polling so high.

Do you read Pankaj Mishra? He's written a scorching take on Brexit in the NY Times this week, worth a read

I have so much respect for the yellow jackets tbh. At least they do something.

I dont have a single tory friend these days. Souless fvcks.

Its always amused me that the conservatives have convinced people its good to vote for them because they will take a bigger % of their wages home, yet have simultaneously suppressed wages for 40 years.

Labour say: we want you to take more home, and have more disposable income, and people quibble about tiny %ages

But I have to have a salary that triggers higher rate tax to have the equivalent purchasing power to somebody in the North who wouldn't be paying higher rate tax that's the point. Very simplistic way of looking at it of course but thought I'd descend to your level

Yes but the education, jobs, and wages are all of a higher standard level in South, so Robbing is right here.

Our regional colleagues get paid less for the same job by the way.

At my company I mean, which is standard.

Bloody professor's, universities and the UN prattling on like below but do I earn an extra £6k a year? If I do it's all worth it. I don't understand why they don't just work harder anyway.

I dont support a particular party. I vote for what is needed

I voted labour out last time as they needed to go, but one thing I didn't foresee was for Conservative's to do an even worse job of running our country!

Torries need to go!
