No issue with the 4-2-3-1, but I would prefer Salah to still be right with Shaq in the 10 and Bobby up top.

Bobby is always deep
Shaq is on the right
Salah up top or takes a wider right position

I dont think Shaq will work as a 10 in our system. He's more of a ball to feet, turn & run attacking midfielder. Even in midfield his positioning and movement is limited. Unless the whole game is opened up for him.

Although Firmino's casualness on the ball is letting him down in what always looks like a promising move for us. Hence why I can understand people getting frustrated with him. He still feels like the best 10 we have and has been performing better in that role than as our striker this season (Arsenal game aside).

That's our front 3 though. Even Salah can be guilty of this. When we're not banging in 3 & 4 consistently, the breakdowns will get highlighted more.

Now that the defence is losing their form a bit (9 conceded in their last 6 or something like that), maybe we should unleash the attack more.

Facking hate January.

Our defensive has been the cornerstone of our success all season, perhaps to the detriment of the attack. Agree with MEFC, perhaps since the defence is looking far more frail than previously, that we need to unleash the attack a little.

I have a feeling we may tonight.

AOC back will make a massive difference. Be great to have him, Gomez and TAA back for the run in.

We are top of the league so it is working. In a 4-3-3 our front 3 were out of sorts and teams knew how to play us. Salah and Bobby have been much better in this 4-2-3-1. It does need creativity from midfield and Fabinho is a big part of that.

I agree with this. It's a different role for him this season, he works just as hard, but has been giving the ball away far too cheaply.He's a key player and this system will more effective in an attacking sense if he can find some consistency..

You can see why Klopp wanted Fekir.

I think Bobby has had a below par season so far.. In comparison to how he was last year

As opposed to going shopping them claiming things based on the game you didnt see.

Both have been inconsistent for sure but their output has still been decent-ish.

We need someone to have a pop from range frequently, but not fabinho, mane or salah.

Thereafter when the defence steps out to block the shot, its played short to fabinho to clip a ball in as he deftly does to give Mane or Salah a tap in.

It should be Firmino, he can shoot from distance of either foot.

Also while I'm moaning, what is up with our corners recently

It should be VVD. 2 of his long range shots have leads to goals somehow.
