I agree it's hard to keep everyone happy but if the side is successful then the players will stick around for a few years as seen with City. Sane has been there 3 years for example.

I guess it's whether we think brining someone on who wants to play every week would disrupt the squad harmony.

Hmmm. Still have a dodgy keeper, aging CB's and seem to have sold all their FB's. Eriksen still wants out too. I still see them winning nothing and falling apart at the business end of the season.

Every player wants to play every week. Some are just shiiit so it's easier to tell them you can't play every week.

So Spurs have a deeper squad than us?

The only position we don't have senior cover for is left back, where Milner has proven a very capable backup.

Spurs have Aurier at right back who has been poor and injured. Davies at left back, if their planned sale of Rose goes through. Sanchez, who I rate but hasn't shown his full potential at centre back and Eric Dire and that is an intentional spelling error.

Our squad is as 'deep' as anybodies but City's. They certainly find it easier to keep squad players happier with the wages they pay but even then they have players expressing their unhappiness and lack of game time.

I'm extremely confident going into this season, considering our squad depth. Not many have Matip/Gomez and Lovren quality as backup centre back. Our the depth we have in midfield. Or even Shaqiri and Ox quality wide.

As with any transfer window - we’ll only really know the success of it all nearer Christmas.

If we’re 10 points off City then expect people to be up in arms.

If we’re rubbing shoulders with them at the top then everyone will be lauding the manager and FSG.

It's a damn shame that we have to beat this City side otherwise Klopp would be praised to the heavens.
