Just watched Neil Mellor spend five minutes explaining how it was defo a penalty. Id be livid if that was against us.

The ref blowing full time as they crossed it into the box was mental. Dont think Ive ever seen that before.

Reminded me of when the ref gave Fiorentina a peno and then changed it to a corner.

They fvcking love us dont they.

It was one of those where there was contact but Mane made the most of it. It would be a foul anywhere else on the pitch so in my book that's a pen...

Clear pen for me, only thing that made it iffy was Mane’s delayed reaction but it was a foul.

As for the ref blowing when Leicester were about to cross it, that’s because they had passed it sideways for about a minute straight before hand.

Definite penalty as there was a foul in the box. That foul stopped Mane passing to Lallana for what could have been a very easy chance.

Poor dive though.

Mane most influential player in the league atm? KDB probably but Mane is getting there. I reckon he can be a 1 in 1 man for goals. His tracking back ridiculous really in terms of the quality of defending.

I like the way Klopp picks and chooses when Salah and Mane have to track back. Tracking back is sh!t and a massive ball ache and no forward or players enjoys it I dont think. But when asked to for big games it's great to see them buying into it for the team.

Also, is Salah becoming a bit of a nob? Choudrey nailed him granted but youre in the last minutes and you take a sit down afterwards? Really? Get off the pitch mate. Im not talking at the time of the challenge but after when he was struggling.

Or is that just me again?

Have to say KDB for most influential player. The two league games he hasn't started for City they've lost. Small sample size I know but I don't think it's a coincidence. Then again, he missed most of last season and City got 98 points so who knows.

Would hate to lose Mane for a significant amount of time though, that's for sure. I've been thinking for a while now he's our most lethal attacker. Strangely though I think he's not irreplaceable in a transfer window. The one I worry about leaving is Firmino as he is such a peculiar but brilliant player and there aren't many like him around. Our style would have to change if he were to leave.

VAR isn't pointless at all. They just need to remove this clear and obvious error nonsense.

Laporte and VVD up there for most influential too, look how horrendous city look without Laporte defensively.

And Lovren, Matip and Gomez are all different players when VVD is next to them.

Also, not sure if it's just me but are more teams playing with a high press in the league over the last few years? Leicester and Southampton certainly do now, thought Sheffield United closed us down quickly the other week and Spurs and City have implemented variations of pressing in various forms under Poch and Pep.

The very fact that offside goals have been disallowed and onside goals have been given due to var means it's not pointless.

Yes, however they were probably the ones they got the majority right anyhow. I was expecting penalty calls to be better but they've just gone with the referee everytime. Most of the time correct of course.

Although a different competition, I still can't get over the Napoli penalty and the fact that even with replays some still believed it was a penalty despite the dive happening before contact occurred. Even with the this 'clear and obvious' cop out, I fully expected that one to be overturned.

Disagree with all of this.

I like this duel that seems to bubbling between Mane & Salah. It's only going to make us better imo. Team chemistry isn't just about everyone getting along like we're on a summer camp or some shiiit.

Competition between our players is healthy.

Trent & Robbo have their own competition going on as well.
