We have such good talent in Hoever and Larouci, Eliiot, Brewster, Woodburn, Jones etc they need game time though and we're not gna be able to offer them sufficient amounts.

What will we do with Grujic and Wilson? probably the only 2 really making something of their loan moves over the last few years?

posted on 12/12/19

That said Woodburns not been doing well with his loans has he? broke on the scene earlier and faster than Wilson now struggles to get a game for Oxford in league one?

I thought we would see more of Brewster by now too, maybe he's just not ready - I mean, Klopp did give minutes to Curtis Jones

We do massively overrate some of our youth players though. Hoever for example is years away from playing for us on a regular basis which is entirely fair enough.

When he's ready to contribute to the squad, we can sell the older centre backs.

Hoevers done nothing but impress when we've given him a game. Same for Larouci, not sure they can do much more certainly, i mean were they any worse than TAA and Gomez when they got their chances?

posted on 12/12/19

both TAA and Gomez still make mistakes and are still learning too. Think theyve just been more fortunate at the time, with injuries to Clyne etc.

Anyway no reason we cant find them a good championship club like we did Wilson, bit sad we couldnt find one a place at Leeds under Bielsa or Brom under Bilic.

Im not really convinced with brewster, though i havent seen him that often

Harry Wilson – Bournemouth
Marko Grujic – Hertha Berlin
Kamil Grabara – Huddersfield Town
Loris Karius – Besiktas
Sheyi Ojo – Rangers
Ben Woodburn – Oxford United
Liam Millar – Kilmarnock
Taiwo Awoniyi – Mainz
Nat Phillips – VfB Stuttgart
Ovie Ejaria – Reading (permanent at end of season)
Allan Rodrigues – Fluminense (to end of 2019)
Rhys Williams – Kidderminster Harriers (to January 2020)

Anyone keep an eye on any of them? Grabara starts every game for Hudders dont he? Theyre struggling in the Champs but still he should be getting some good exp.

Wilson & Grujic apart I can’t see any of them making it with us!

With Fabinho and Henderson, do we actually need him?

Personally I'd keep him as he has a huge ceiling.

posted on 12/12/19

I assume he'll get a chance next season, otherwise why turn down 40mil

posted on 12/12/19

grujic do well under Simeone, id accept it if Klopp has no plans on using him when Milner and Lallana have gone but i'd be trying to get a massive sell on fee inserted, 30/40 %.

"Liverpool have moved ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign FC Salzburg forward Takumi Minamino, with sources having told ESPN the Anfield club have agreed to trigger the Japan international's £7.25 million release clause in January.

Minamino, 24, impressed Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp during Salzburg's two Champions League Group E fixtures this season and sources have said the club's sporting director, Michael Edwards, has negotiated with the Austrian champions after discovering the nature of the player's clause.

Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund appeared to confirm this in a news conference ahead of their clash with Hartberg, where he said: "I won't comment on contract details. But it's true there are talks with Liverpool.

"It's an honour for our club that the current Champions League winners and other big clubs are looking at our players."

Asked whether a January transfer is happen, he added: "That could be possible."

------------------------------------

So unless this is another case like Pepe, where the club used Liverpool's name and fake interest in the player to drive the price up for any mugs willing to pay 75mil, it seems that we may well have this deal in the bag

They can’t drive the price up though if he’s got a release fee.

couldnt every club that doesn't sign a player they were 'linked with' say this

posted on 12/12/19

They could do, but few, if any, have been so vocal about a link being fake as Liverpool reportedly were. Sure Edwards or someone actually reached out to Lille and told them to stop mentioning interest from us to drive up the price.

Lille took arsenal to the cleaners on that one.

posted on 12/12/19

must have been desperate
arsenal '50mil for pepe'
lille 'liverpool are interested'
arsenal 'okay 75mil'
lille 'done'
