Re the Andy Robertson incident in yesterday’s game - some people think it was a red, others a yellow and some (not even a foul)

On Goals on Sunday, Chris Kamara said that the rules of the game state that regardless of whether you get the ball, if you endanger an opponent then you can be given a red card.

I'd say it's a foul by tanganga. In a 50/50 challenge surely the person who touches the ball first has to be treated as the one in possession so the second man into the challenge is making a tackle and therefore a foul?

Either way it would be a harsh yellow let alone red.

Think this rule needs a clearer definition as technically, every time two players go up for a 50/50 header and clash heads they've "endangered an opponent". Just takes a knock to put someone out cold but you don't see red cards for that.

Apparently there was an angle which showing it brushed his fingers onto Alli but i've not seen it yet.
