And by evidence i mean you can check for yourselves that a chemical weapons lab in the US was shut down, that people from that region were likely in Wuhan for a sports event etc

Its amazing how people are so quick to blame China with very little evidence, and even Americans saying they had some suspicious flu deaths before the outbreak..

I like to see solid evidence before I judge anyone, I don't know who discovered aids for instance, but im guessing it wasn't in the country where that first started

Were the Spaniards sanctioned in to the ground when Spanish flu spread?

Nor should they have been. It was called Spanish flu because most perishing from it were Spanish.

posted on 22/3/20

Was it not called the Spanish flu because they were the first nation to have it in their press while others were talking about the war.

No. It was called the Spanish Flu as they weren't censoring media as they weren't involved in the war. So the majority of the news was coming from there. They stated it came from France but there are many theories about where it originated, not that it means it is the fault of a country, just because it began there, namely, apart from France and Spain, UK, US and China.

Wayne Rooney: “Liverpool have been fantastic. They have put so much work in. They deserve this title. The right decision has been made. The fair thing is to finish 2019-20 – even if we have to lose next season in the process.”

Always been a big fan of Rooney

Its amazing how quick we are to blame china? Not really. It came from China. The Chinese didn't even deny it until this thing started getting really out of hand.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It came from China?

Because they first diagnosed it? Yet there's allegedly two strains going around, and it popped up with no links to China in Iran and the US (near the closed base)

I'll state it again, I'm not a conspiracy theorist, I like facts, its a fact that China diagnosed the virus, not that it started there, a third of the first cases have *no links* to the wet market that they could find.

You can call it Chinese propoganda, but at this point that's all anyone is pumping out, the WHO cant even find a patient 0..

So it's a complete given that China were duplicitous and deceitful concerning the initial outbreak,

And I don't dispute that..

But there is *no way* that other governments have been deceitful too?

Well sh’it what a day that was.

In NZ the govt enacted a 4 level risk management system. Level 1 is just washing hands and limiting contact with others and level 4 is complete lockdown bar essential services. Until today we were at level 2, which basically meant try not to go out to public places if you can and large gatherings were banned.

So this morning the owner and i drew up a plan of what we were going to do at work to get ahead of this, we decided to be a level ahead of where the nation was so we wouldn’t be surprised by anything. These things included limiting the amount of people in the same room as one another, quarantining the other department entirely from us so if one group goes down the other can continue and doing split shifts in amongst a myriad of other things.

Today at 2 rolls around and the prime minister lifted us to level 3 immediately and will be at level 4 within 48 hours, which is complete lockdown, and will be at level 4 for 4 weeks minimum. So GF no longer has a job, luckily i work in the food production industry which is essential so I’m working right through but boy what a facking day that was and I’ve a feeling this month is going to be insane.

In slightly better news our landlord said we might be able to get a dog so that’s pretty cool.

We have been split into shifts starting from today. They cut my hours and I have to now do two 12 hour shifts and a 6 hour one. With two and a half days off. They aren't paying me for the missing hours and yet idiot here has been logged in from home, as there are a load of things my guys can't do without me. Just logged off after the first panic came for them right away within the first hour of their shift. I can see this being a recurring theme.

Also I see a lockdown occurring within the week and I don't believe my company is classed as essential. We make equipment for people with disabilities. Feels essential to me.

Will be working from home by the end of week. Company has gone into overdrive now regarding The Rona.

Slowly but surely I am running out of work to do. Already had 3 projects postponed. Our main customer is the NHS who understandably have more pressing concerns.

I’m gonna have plenty to keep me going, more work than usual in fact. Just the whole working from home with 5 year old to try to occupy, engage and exercise that’s a pain.

Saying that, we have had the time to get out and explore a lot of the nature trails and hikes in the area. Spent a good portion of yesterday afternoon throwing rocks in the river. Gonna check out the town forest today

Haven't checked in for a while, just want to check that all you guys are cool? <beer>

Massachusetts goes on lockdown tomorrow. All businesses to close except for essentials such as grocery stores and pharmacies. Stay at home order.
