We can't rely on Bournemouth paying us silly money anymore
But we didn't sign anyone last summer after winning the Champions League.

I'd say we don't really need anyone to go straight into the first team but it about padding out the squad, especially the front 3 and defence due to their fitness.
But it's not a NEED imo. We've been challenging on the 2 main trophies for a while now with this squad. We have Elliott & Jones who can come in and make the attack stronger. Ideally we want better quality but we know football is never perfect.
So we don't challenge for the domestic cups next season either...who honestly gives a sheet. We know it's nice to win but we're definitely not losing sleep over it.

Some of it depends. If AFCON goes ahead, how confident can we really be without Salah and Mane for that two months? We've blown City away this season but next season could be close.
In addition to this we don't know about the futures of certain players including Lallana, Shakiri, Wilson and even players like Grujic and Brewster(another loan to Swansea sounds likely). Ideally we'd have moved on Shakiri and Lallana and then sign Werner perhaps.
If Lallana and Shakiri leave are we still OK? Main cause of worry is AFCON IMO.
I'd say we can maybe have one more great season without any major signings but ideally would like to see some fresh faces sooner rather than later to provide competition in attack.
I'm sure we'll bring someone in as if we were looking to get Werner pre-covid then Klopp obviously wants another attacker.
Sounds like we would have signed him had Covid not happened which is a bit of a kick in the teeth.
I think it's the 200k a week which blew us out of the water. Only Salah is on that wage and Werner has alot to do to command that salary in a squad like ours.
I'm honestly not concern at all about the losses of Lallana and Shaqiri. Other than that I doubt exits will be a big thing for us unless someone offers us crazy money.
Like you say AFCON is the major thing for us next season. I forgot about that.
