Really poor result last night it has to be said. To play so well for 35 minutes, completely outplay them and then completely chuck the game away in the manner we did against such a poor side was immensely disappointing.

The only possible benefit to these recent games is it might show Klopp areas where we need reinforcements.

Another attacker seems obvious given the clear drop of quality between the starting front 3 and the bench.

Again the same problem in the second half we've had a lot in recent games where the opponents just sit it and the lack of creativity in the middle has made our attacking patterns all too predictable. As Kash says, really need a Thiago type in there.

Can almost guarantee we won't spend a penny though.

We just won our first league title in 30 years.

Come on, arsenal parked the bus last night for 20 mins at least.

We dominated the game but didn't really create many guilt edge chances

Yeah these recent results could end up being a good thing if it forces us to dip into the transfer market to make some improvements. But if we don't then we really need to get our act together in the few weeks that separates this season and next.

Of course no one knows but I honestly don't predict a good season next year, relative to what we've become accustomed to. Top 4 and maybe a cup. The season after that will be better. City will win the league comfortably next season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The best to freshen up is to make a marquee signing. That 2-3% we dropped since restart will improve if Klopp brings in a Thiago or Coutinho.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed. The team needs a new injection and that could give us more of a chance next season. Wouldn't hurt to have something new for the opposition to worry about and keep them preoccupied.

I keep on hoping Kieta or ox will provide that but creativity but I'm now starting to think this might not be the case

How did we lose that game last night

didn't they have 2 attempts on target

What are people's thoughts on Brewster? Banging them in for Swansea at the moment, give him a chance next season or another loan?

Another loan to Swansea IMO. No point pulling him out when he's doing so well and learning. They will play him every game now, even next season he's guaranteed a lot of apps there and its better than sitting on our bench perhaps.

To be honest we probably go on and win that game 2/3-0 last night were it not for the massively uncharacteristic mistakes from our 2 most reliable players, as we'd have hit them on the counter.

They had 3 shots all game and 2 of them were our own fault.

Thought Minamino played decent by the way, there's definitely a player in there and he looks like he's the required quality we need for rotational players.

Might just need that first goal to properly get him going.

He should have gone down for the pen. No point moaning when its not given if you are standing. Refs never give those.

Pack it up boys, we never have to play well again because we won 1 (one) league title.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be honest this can be true. We could go another 30 years without the title. Enjoy the moment.

Minamino has the same playing characteristics Firmino has. Dropping between the two lines of the opponent and linking with the two wide players. He needs a goal for his confidence.

We need a midfield player who can play the killer pass like KDB and Silva do for City.

Origi is not good enough and is like Kuyt with his first touch.

posted on 17/7/20

I like Origi as a rotation option/impact player from the bench.

He’s pacey, strong and direct and offers a great aerial threat in the box. He’s not a world beater but as an option for us i think he’s good.

An attacking player to help link midfield and attack would be beneficial, Havertz would obviously be the dream but that won’t happen.
