Agreed, it's gone for me now too, but nobody said that after Everton. Not even facking Titty. Its just a blatant lie.

Tbh who really cares, Klopp hasn't ever once showed any ambition in the FA cup I barely even watch the games anymore.

Just want to see us in the top 4 and to get our players back. And City to win the league. Leicester will fall away and I'd rather City win it anyway.

I think people underestimate the impact Virgil makes on our attacking play. He is the one who allows our fullbacks and midfield players to push more forward.

At this moment we play on the handbrake on in pushing more players forward.

I said this earlier and was called a WUM

Missing the back 2 has negatively impacted the majority of the first XI

We need to stop harping on about 1 player who is injured. It should not be costing us against West Brom, Fulham and Burnley

What worries me is before lockdown we were 27 wins from 29 games (83 points) Since then we've had 51 points in 28 games, over a 38 game season that would be 69 points which is pretty iffy for top 4.

What the hell happened to us since lockdown? I don't think it can be blamed on X or Y being injured because Thiago, Ox, Shaqiri, Matip have all returned and VVD was on the field for our horrendous 7-2 loss.

Is it a mental thing? Is the team just past it's peak? Really worrying if we have any sights on retaining our title. The fact the rest of the league is also garbage helps but I really don't see where we turn it around and win consistently enough to even be close to the title.

Such a shame. Really could have been a glorious period, but our title win looks like it could just be a one off.

Honestly half the guys crying now said our title defence was over after Everton

--------

Sigh. This just isn't true at all, is it. Really wish people wouldn't make these sorts of things up.

Ballacks. When we knew thiago and VVD were out people were saying the season was over.

Then again when Gomez got injured.

We aren't just missing *one* of our back two, we were missing three of them for a time. Yes firminonsat back there occasionally but both matip and Gomez carry the ball from defence which hasn't been happening.

Yes we are missing the fans, we have had a few players suffer with covid, who knows if they are suffering with the after effects still? I got out of breath walking for six months afterwards. And we are also missing the famous anfield atmosphere, it seems away from the stadium our fans just aren't our fans anymore.

Just a toxic hot mess, calling the best assister/chance creater in the league two years running a "parasite" and "cancer on the club"

Fack me.

Apparently the team had a heart to heart after the Southampton game lol

So nobody said it, glad we cleared that up.

What is it about certain users on this forum that love to insult other posters rather than discuss the team's issues?

Is it a deflection tactic?

The injury excuse can only carry you so far though. If a title winning team can only beat Sheffield United of the bottom 6 so far this season, injuries or not, you don't deserve to do well unfortunately.

There's no creativity in the side at all. TAA had a shocker, 18 crosses 0 completed yesterday and he gave the ball away a few times as well. Crosses were just aimlessly floated in almost every time, food and drink for Burnley.

Wijnaldum was too slow, Ox was non-existent etc. I could sit here all day and rattle off what went wrong. They wouldn't have scored if they continued through to this morning.

Three away games inside 7 days now. United in the cup followed by Spurs and West Ham.

Strap yourselves in lads.

This was always going to happen unfortunately. So many injuries, player burnout and no rest. Playing a strong team in a dead rubber didn't help either.

City provided the blueprint on what not to do when you have no defenders and we have matched it.

Klopp has to shoulder some of the blame but for me the owners buck stops at them. We were a defender light when we sold Lovren, then we lose VVD and Gomez in weeks and have Matip who only plays when he feels right. No help whatsoever and it's cost us the league and now the question is if we will make top 4.

posted on 22/1/21

I don't so much have an issue with TAA crossing the ball against sides like Burnley, what annoys me is how he doesn't seem to be mixing it up.

Pass it back into the centre, run at the full back, wait for an overlap etc. instead it was just receive the ball - cross, receive the ball - cross like he's on autopilot.

Makes it incredibly easy to defend against.

The experience of this season will make are break Trent. He took his eye off the ball and its cost him. Last season his delivery was like KDB and this season its worse than AWB.

He tried last night and it was not working. It's time to go with Milner for 2-3 games.

Team for United:

Need to go strong regardless:

Milner----Matip-----Fab-----Tsimikas

Tbh I think we are going out either way. I'd start the young centre backs and keep Matip rested, or he will just get injured for about the 4th time this season.

Matip can get injured going for a dump. Just keep playing him until he gets injured again.

I'd say we really need to protect Matip for the next league games. Finishing in the top four has to be the priority now.

See if we can progress if at all in the CL, hopefully some of our forwards will have remembered how to play football by the time that comes around.

We tried protecting Matip and he still gets injured

What a depressing season this has been! Really doesn't help that United have become challengers right as we forget how to play football.

posted on 22/1/21

The owners have given up this season and its trickled down to the squad now. Klopp yesterday:

"Whether we can do something in the transfer market or not is not my decision"

Klopp has tried to drop every hint for help but they ain't listening.

posted on 22/1/21

It's just been a depressing four weeks really. Just need that goal which is becoming a monkey on our back now. Maybe we'll score on Sunday with it not being a league game
