Shame that people still cant get into into their heads that Heysel was the last straw in a long line of events as to why English clubs were banned from Europe

It went back to 1974 when Tottenham fans rioted against Feyenoord as well of hundreds of other instances of hooliganism in Europe from of fans

Even in the 3 months prior to Heysel we had a young boy killed when a wall collapsed at Birmingham v Leeds after police pushed back Brum fans,then there was Millwall not only destroying Kennilworth Road but most of Luton too,and who could forget the Greater London Counsil refusing Ken Bates permission to put up electrified fences after Chelsea fans rioted after Sunderland knocked them out of the League Cup at the semi final stage

Anyone believing Heysel was the sole reason is quite simply obtuse

Considering we traveled more than any other club in Europe we never got in trouble compared to the likes of Utd and Spurs.

My dad was at Hysel and he told me exactly what happened that night. I believe what he says over any red top rag.
