Have Southampton made no real attempt to secure his services? I've read him saying he wants to know the future of Southampton and it's direction, do they not see him in their plans anymore?

Tottenham do not have £30m to spend on Shaw, even if Danny Rose is a Championship standard player.

Well it will be LAMU if we dont get Shaw, like Fabregas and others last year

Moyes will take over Southampton and sell Shaw to Chelsea

He gets his teams to work hard and press and they are also decent with the ball and he is still young and learning. Good appointment by Spurs but if it doesn't go smoothly will he be given anywhere near the 5 years?

BTW has he learnt how to speak English yet or is still using his translator

Of course not.

He speaks English perfectly fine, he only uses the translator so the media don't misinterpret him and make a big deal of something.

Got a feeling he's going to not do very well at all.

Entering the managers graveyard...

It's an impossible job at Spurs. Levy demands top 4 but there are five better teams competing ahead of them who all have bigger budgets.

I wonder if a small reason why they got him was his nationality and being able to work with Lamela?

Obviously not the main reason but could help, he's a great talent, maybe just needs the right guidance.

I do think Potchetino is a good manager but don't forget how much of Southampton's good work was done by Adkins, he was sacked when Saints were in a very healthy situation and brought in virtually all of their players now except Wanyama and Lovrens.

So what will happen to the Shaw deal now that Southampton are in a managerial transition?

Are our chances lessened with Saints wanting to know if their next manager has Shaw in his plans?

Shaw leaving has nothing to do with whoever is Saints manager. It's a pure cash - in opportunity!

Prem_Kings 20 TIMES!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure it won't matter, Potchetino would have loved to have Shaw if he were staying but I think the potential sale is completely out of the hands of the manager and is all about being a financial decision.

I think Shaw feels it's time to leave and the club seem happy to sell for the right price.

Well i hope that is the case. He is a player that has a lot of potential and hopefully will develop more under us if we get him.

Can't have Chelsea snatching another player from our radar again now can we.
