All well and good doing dribbles in the middle of the pitch against Nigeria and Iran.
Been so disappointed with Messi. Had an average tournament but is being hyped up because he scored a few goals against crap teams in the group stage.
Him winning was a farce.

Messi was probably more píssed off than anything else collecting the award.
I don't have an issue with the Ballon d'Or - I might not agree with the verdict every year, but in the end it's decided by the votes of several hundred people. The World Cup Golden Ball chosen by a FIFA panel though is a farce and probably has as much to do with commercial interests as it has with the actual events on the pitch.
Don't think Schweinsteiger was close to player of tournament.
He never really showed up, even today, he was on the ball a lot, but that's mainly 'cos Argentina let him. He deserves credit for coming back after some rough treatment today though
